I am glad I got to you on time. I have done a bunch of gas piping in my past so i know the importance of using unions in threaded pipe work. Do you cut and thread your own pipe or do you buy pre-threaded only?
BTW I think your welding skills are top notch. I love the detail you put into the...
I have seen the military use the same square hole bracket attached to the tool box as a storage for the mudflaps.
I think I still have a pair of square hole brackets that attach to the extension plates for the mudflaps. $30 for the 2 shipped Priority Mail.
Some of the M931/M932 trucks already come with the brackets and mudflaps and others don't. You can always ask a member that is parting out a M931 if they have them for sale. Even if you can just get the steel extensions that attach to the frame. You can always use civi mud flaps with them. I...
I got a suggestion. Cut the horizontal pipe below the filter and either put a quick disconnect there or a UNION fitting. That way you don't have to redo all the plumbing.
as a former owner of a M820A2 truck I think you will find it quite a challenge to create a camper out of it due to the fact the the side wall floor and ceiling are the interior walls when the truck is not extended. They are also weight balanced so that the weight of the floor section helps lift...
If that is not the problem you may have a torn diaphragm in one or more of the brake chambers. I had to replace both front ones on my M923. They are about $5 each at NAPA.
If the leak is in the spring brake chamber do not attempt to open it. The spring can kill you! Only the ones in the...
You need to get a hold of Jeff Davis (CSM DAVIS) and see if he will do it for you. He does a lot of recoveries from Camp Shelby. A very nice guy to deal with.
Sounds like a plan! If not you can always get the 3 handsaw deal. One for you, one the the wify and one as a spare. Hope it goes fast and easy for you.
I found some hand saws as well as air powered saws for cutting the insulation on AMAZON. 3 handsaws for $79. (Blades and grip.) http://www.amazon.com/THE-FOAM-KNIFE-WITH-HANDLE/dp/B006L6GVXW/ref=pd_sim_sbs_hi_1
How about a BOW saw used to trim tree branches. If you can turn the blade 90 degrees it would be easy to use. Another idea is a HOT WIRE cutter shaped like a bow saw. Use an old train transformer as a power supply. You can find NI-CHROME wire on the net. PM me for more detail.
