I need an aluminum boarding ladder transported from Aberdeen, MD to Louisiana. If not at least to GA as a starter. Please PM me for details.
Thanks,

I was going to mention that I would adjust the fan to come on at a higher setting. The fan puts a drain on the engine and makes a lot of noise. If you let the thermostat open it can cool the engine without the aid of the fan. The fan should only kick on when the radiator and air flow are not...
I might be wrong but I think it is adjustable. If I remember correctly you can adjust how far in the actual thermal piece goes and lock it in that position. It is on the coolant side of the thermal switch. I think they are supposed to kick on at 180 or 190.
I took down the back porch (deck) from the M109 box. I don't like the look or design. Looks much better without it! There is going to be a 1 foot landing there when the box is installed on the M923 frame. (In order to keep the wheel centers lined up with the cutout in the wheel well on the...
I got a quote today from a local shop for laser cutting my trailer hitch parts. They quoted $200.66 for the work. That does not include welding the pieces together. i may look for another shop to see what they will quote. Also need to find a welder that will weld the pieces into a hitch for...
If you had tried to do a search you would have seen that this topic has been covered many times. All you need to do is buy a battery kill switch that connects to the negative on the batteries and the other side to the chassis ground. There are details on the proper hookup if you search for it.
I wish I knew how much I need. I will have 4 starting batteries and up to 6 deep cycle batteries for the Camper. Any idea what size alternator would be right for that application? I can always sell the 400 AMP unit, and even makes some money on it, and buy a smaller one (once I know what size...
Before we get crazy here with this alternator project, let me ask a question. What size alternator do i need to feed 4 batteries for starting and cab electronics and 6 deep cycle batteries for the Camper portion?
If I remember the spec's on it, it is supposed to put out over 200 AMP at idle speed. I think it was part of the requirement from the military that it could produce over 200 at idle so they could run the equipment in the HMMWV .
I do appreciate your contribution to the conversation. I am still in the early stage of my build. I may have jumped the gun on getting the 400 AMP alternator. I was assuming it would only put as much resistance to the engine as demand rose. So if i was not pulling 400 amps it would not put...
I might have to reconsider my mod. Since it is not a critical part of my RV mod I will hold off doing the project until i have more info available. I would like to get real data on the alternator, such as HP used in idle, and whether it puts an increasing load on the engine as power demand...
Going with tan CAMO for that truck. If you have cores you can get 4 of the group 34 batteries at $45 each. Much lighter to handle and more total AMPS output. Final thought: Your truck your way... :grd:
