It might be a good thing for you to have the TM's (Technical Manuals) for your LMTV. There are tech manuals that specify Lubrication Order (-LO) as well as maintenance books.

Shop the insurance. It is worth asking several different companies what they have to offer. Farm Bureau is a possibility. They have several trucks on my policy and mine is a commercial policy for the best price for me. I have one HMMWV and several 5-Tons on it...

Definitely save your money. Those grounding kits will work - but spending a weekend cleaning every point of contact and a tube of anti-oxidant paste will make a lot of gremlins go away...

The needle that @Jbulach referenced looks kinda like this (pic below). Your grease gun attaches to the back, the needle depresses the "ball" on the grease fitting. Have a rag handy...

You replied to an October 2018 original post. Chances are that a good answer never got posted. The manuals for the Oshkosh P19 are not coded as Class A (for public distribution).
LOGIC ONLY here says that military fire trucks won't have the instructions to winterize...
