And some sort of testing faclity like a manufacturing company... Think Cragar or Centerline or American Racing or other folks in the business of building wheels for the general public.
Not trying to bust your bubble for the goal of bigger tires on bigger rims. Just trying to make sure that...

Just need to remember that welded by you rims come with a Lawyer attached to them. Especially without a welding certificate with your name on it. That comment is the simple version of saying you need to CYA - and welding your own rims won't be a good way to do that...

Had to snag a few pictures from this one... Two locomotives up front with Norfolk Southern 4088 leading, Union Pacific 6360 in the second position and Union Pacific 3090 bringing up the rear. Total of 74 Military rail cars loaded with all kinds of wonderful toys

Tough part about the sliding rear windows are that they were manufactured by several different companies. Trying to find the right part has been darn near impossible on my chevy pickups... Crawling through the Web and eventually "throwing in the towel" and buying a new sliding window has...

So, Welcome to the Outfit!
Now that you are here - what's next?
Planning to learn more or maybe you already have a piece of green iron?
Happy to have you here.

I saw something recently on CBS talking about that passageway. Last year 250,000 people crossed the Darién Gap – twenty times more than just a few years ago.
Now if you could get a few thousand folks behind your trailer pushing, maybe you could make it through there. If you didn't get...

Wow!
With a dyno, you could take the aerodynamics out of the equation.
Then, two tanks of fuel - one with and one without the upgrade would tell a lot about the change...
I mean it wouldn't be a perfect test, but something could definitely be measured.

It's sad @frauhansen but @Mogman is right. You won't really know until you either have the fluid tested (like you would motor oil) or you just guess. Guessing is definitely bad for YOU and your truck. The mechanic might have just typed whatever they normally type on their invoices.
If you...

You shouldn't hesitate to get yourself a bore hone like you would use on an engine block. They come in assorted sizes. The knurled nut on top will add more spring tension. Add some grit to the hone stones if the rust is really bad. Use liquid (penetrating oil will work) to keep from...

Forgetting about the electronics in almost every piece of equipment in my building - we are having problems getting PAPER. There is no reason other than the EPA why there shouldn't be more paper than we would ever need. But manufacturing volume is way down.
Train Rail Volume is down by 4%...

Hi Phillip,
Welcome to the Outfit!
Post us up some pictures. You will enjoy being able to see your new-to-you truck as it grows into what you want it to be. I can guarantee you that your boys will enjoy riding in and turning wrenches with old dad...
We have a TM (Technical Manuals)...

Hopefully you will pass the inspection!
Yeah, those 4 quarter turn fasteners (Dzus) on the gauge plate are supposed to create the ground but after 30 or 40 years things get a little corroded. ;-)
.
Yessir. Should be some free play in the "fork to rod" connection. Another thing to help confirm the need for adjustment is by looking inside the inspection plate in the clutch housing (bell housing). The throwout bearing should NOT be turning. If it is, the clutch isn't completely...

My best guess would be a grounding issue on all but the Tach. I would suggest a good clean place on the dash plate and another on the dash panel with a ground wire between them. Use a pencil and shorten the ground - but leave 2 or 3 feet of ground so you can work on the dash plate in your...

Well, it dang sure isn't cheap but those solve the problem of the thin metal being "dimpled" by the bolts if there are gaskets below the valve cover...

If you are on a cell phone, often times it will download it into a "downloads" folder. Sometimes it is a real pain to figure out WHERE your phone put it. Some are fairly large too... If you have an Android, swipe down from the top - and most of the time it will show you that the download...

Welcome to the Outfit!
Chances are that you will find assorted wires that are just hacked off and left in place. Part of the De-Mil process. A lot of them will still be "powered" so you will need to follow them back to the source. A lot will be for radios or computer terminals.
Short...

Not a whole lot of adjustment to do other than to ensure that you have some "free play" in the linkage. Guessing there is a 5 speed manual in your truck?
Are you having some specific problem?
