Your VIN is M56477 and that would have never changed in military service officially. Who knows what happened along the way. Personally I would have a problem with this, and I would re-title the truck so the VIN matches the frame stamp.
You are quite correct, there are 3 versions of the PDP (power distribution panel) that were used on the FMTVs, this is the second generation, and is considered the worst due to the soldered connections being lead free. The manuals for the FMTVs uploaded to this site do not cover this PDP as far...
No. I assumed you had a closed cab, which seeing your other thread, I now know is not the case. Just to be sure , you are looking for the builder plate hole pattern in the center of the firewall, near the starter foot pedal, right?
Like I said, the frame serial number will tell the story.
I would switch to the under fender unit in a heartbeat. AMG went that way due to already marginal airflow through the cooling stack. The Red Dot condenser bolted to anything and everything was a sandbox quick fix.
The older ones were direct copies with a different engine. The newer ones have more changes such as the front sheetmetal design. All the “NOS” deuce windshields available now as well as many other parts are Kia made.
To the best of my knowledge, nobody has written a thread on replacing the door window glass, which is why you can’t find it. The TM may discuss it, but if you remove the inner door panel, you will see how the window tracks unbolt, allowing the glass to be removed.
Make sure you document and photograph all the things that are wrong with your “Ironclad assured” running truck so you can file a claim or lawsuit like so many others have done.
Grab an air line and charge the air system so the brakes will release. The driver should have an air hose. Charge through the front emergency glad hand. Pull off w pickup.
