    Hydraulic fuses for brakes

Having been in a truck with "catastrophic" brake failure I can honestly say "Never again !!! " . That is why I am so adamant about replacing "all" your brake lines with either "stainless steel" or "cunifer" lines. My CUCV has stainless steel lines and my deuce has cunifer lines. All my "rubber"...

    servicing deuce injectors

Not enough force to clean. You need the "blast" effect of the air to push that media against the object needing cleaning. Now silica sand will clean in a vibratory unit since it has sharp little edges. I use that method myself to clean up small precision parts.

Are they "rusted" together ? If so get some rust remover and soak them in it.

Off road Diesel in a 2011 MEP 803

Actually in the "good ole days" (1980's) diesel had 5,000ppm sulfur. 5,000 to 15, what a bunch of nonsense in my opinion.

House Voltage... Does it really matter?

You increase your power lines efficiency by increasing the voltage. That is why major power lines from Hydro power plants and such are in the thousands of volts. You experience less voltage loss the higher your voltage. More lose equals more money spent, so increase the voltage and increase the...

Off road Diesel in a 2011 MEP 803

I've said it before and I'll say it again. There is no difference in "any" diesel fuel today except for the dye they use for tax purposes. ALL diesel fuel today by command of the United States Government is "ultra low sulfur" fuel period. The only time you will find a different blend is between...

    Power waveforms & MEP generators

Ryan, your sounding like my son now, what with all the "Meh" going on. That's all he says now. Like how was your day ? Replay "Meh" . What are you doing ? "Meh" . Are you going out with your friends tonight ? "Meh" . Meh, Meh, Meh, drives me nuts ! So I started saying it back to him. Drove him...

    M135 S and M Build

It's funny that your thinking that way. At first I was going to go totally mechanical, but I needed to control the electric radiator fans, (I haven't finished that part yet, though I have all the parts now) and that required an electric switch. I almost used an old IHC dual fuel control switch...

    servicing deuce injectors

I know this sounds bad, but you might need to try and blast clean them. Use some "Walnut husks" in the blaster instead of silica sand. It will clean them up pretty good and not damage the finish of the injector.

Personal military truck negligence causes major accident.

Actually Ryan we won't know the whole story for several years from now. The amount of "committees" and "special session" meetings will take years. I was involved with an accident involving a woman getting hit by one of our busses at Metro. As the mechanic on duty I was the first to see the bus...

Personal military truck negligence causes major accident.

This is the "Federal Standards" for a "LowBoy" trailer. Even though we bought our trucks and trailers from the military and would "assume" they are grandfathered in, most states require that the vehicle or trailer meets the Federal Standards. I've added a ton of extra lights to my trucks just...

    Tray Ration Heating System

Hey "SCSG-G4" . Since we're talking about small meal kits here, what would you recommend for my M35 truck. I plan on taking it to Alaska next summer and would like to be able to prepare meals on the trip. I already have the MRI/ water heater, but it is kind of to small for my son and me. Did the...

    thinking of GL auction

I think he was making an "analogy" about supply and demand. Of course I could be wrong.
