Wow @Guyfang !! That solves the problem @Elektroman99 .
Especially with the free shipping!
Time to whip out the wallet, dust off a few bucks and you will have the book you need!

You might rub a little bar soap (like you would wash your hands with) on the belts - ONE AT THE TIME - and if the squeak goes away you found a tired or loose belt.
Have to say it: DON"T LOSE A FINGER because those belts will rip off a finger so quick you won't have time to blink!

Thanks @Third From Texas
You did a really nice writeup through several posts! I think you covered everything a body would need to know before jumping into the middle of a big green truck. Your numbers comparing a big rig to one of these S&S trucks is pretty much "spot-on", just less on...

The original reasoning for the turbo wasn't really for speed or fuel efficiency. Strangely, it was to cut down on the smoke so that the trucks didn't give away their position from a distance. So I am guessing you have a whistler? They definitely improve performance but not as much as you...
.
So, nice pictures. The casting numbers may help some of the guys ID it for you. Is there something wrong with the one you have? And how about a picture of the Engine ID Plate? That might help with identification too.

Just need to remember that insurance is already a scam. They are a bunch of weasels just looking to stamp your claim with a big fat CLAIM DENIED. Sadly, though they are a necessary evil...
You really don't want insurance fraud to be hanging over your head when you rear end somebody and you...

I have to agree with @D6T and I prefer the Chilton's version.
The book will be specific to the vehicle and there are step by step repairs that you can follow.
You might even try looking in a used bookstore.
Shop manuals like @adf5565 suggested is neat.
Back in the day when these books...

Sad but true... I didn't really look at the chopper. I was more excited about the cute little spinning set of barrels. We lost two WBTV guys here in Charlotte on November 22, 2022. Pilot and Passenger. It was a Part 91 aerial observation flight and there were no distress calls. Three...

That valve has a little rubber disc and a couple of O-Rings inside. It could be that "the creeping crud" got inside it and cleaning it will make it better. BE CAREFUL when you take it apart because there is a little spring that holds the disc in place and you don't want to lose it. It is...

I know there are CAT dealers that can and will. Most of these 107X and 108X Stewart & Stevenson trucks have a 3116 or 3127 or possibly a C7 power plants. All are CAT repairable but like @TomTime mentioned, some are Truck specific and others are Earth Moving dealerships. There are some that...

Welcome to the Outfit!
There are plenty of Stewart & Stevenson's that can be had on the cheap. Of course you might end up spending twenty times your original investment be the time you get every piece of rubber on the truck replaced, along with things like windows that need repair, tires...

Welcome to the Outfit!
There are several guys here that have built or are currently building what you have described. Deciding on 3 axle or 2 axle is a personal thing - or maybe what you can find. Heck, you might find one of the cargo version of the S&S truck and affix an old camper trailer...

I also have a Wisconsin Case Case No. TR-11-0016 answering "In the Matter of a Denial of a Registration" on a Chevy Blazer where the MIL-STD was used to put this case in favor of the MV owner.
So, don't hesitate to whip out the book of rules and use them to your benefit!

@Soupermike ,
The NSN's are listed starting in the Operators Manual on PDF Page 360 in TM9 2320-387-10 wChg6 (Attached).
Still trying to poke around for some possible dimensions...

Considering that you are in Texas, here is the law.
https://texas.public.law/statutes/tex._transp._code_section_547.352
You might be well advised to consider driving in other states might have other rules and DOT Federal rules might be a good source of information. See Attached.
