Mike, I think that all of the upright posts are the same length. Honestly, I have never actually put my hands on the troop seats nor inspected any up-close. The two that I own are not at my house yet.
Does anyone have fiberglass (preferably) or wood troop seats that are 120" from the outside of one stake pocket to the outside of the end stake? These troop seats fit the M814/M55/M927. I have two NOS fiberglass troop seats and need SIX more to complete two M814s. Any help in finding these...
I believe the wiper motor is the same as the HMMWV wiper motor. The HMMWV wiper motor can be found, but they are fairly expensive and are not available everywhere. The wiper blades look like HMMWV or M939 series wiper blades. The rest of the stuff...good luck finding it.
Winslow does not sell restored trucks. He sells nice trucks, good reliable trucks, but they are not by any means even close to restoration standards. You need to do the resto part before he gets to the truck. That does not mean he can't help, but he is not really set up to handle true...
Chuck, I had the trailer painted right before the show. Chris S. brought the M925A2 and trailer up to the show from Aberdeen. I have since taken the rest of the tape off. I noticed it after the show. It was on the reflectors.
Expect to spend $1,500 or so on a nice trailer at auction. $2,600 is pure lunacy in my opinion for an auction trailer. The guy who got it has $2,860 in it, plus tax, before he goes to get it! I'll sell my trailer for that and it has brand new 686A tan CARC and new Michelin XL 1100s on it...
Location, location, location. The guys bidding on the $2600 trailer lived in that state, but did not want to pay to have the other trailer shipped to them. it makes sense, I'd spend more on a truck in MD than I would in MS...although I go for trucks all over the country.
RE: Re: RE: Deuce HEAT
You'll need heat, trust me. The heat coming off of the motor and transmission make it tolerable, but a heater is always nice on a cold day. If you don't want your heater, take it off and sell it...there are plenty of our northern neighbors who may want it!
Sarah is nice, I agree...she is ex-Army and knows the vehicles a bit. The other lady that was there was a real PIA...although I thought Walt (Byron) was nice enough.
Don: It sounds like you know this already, but I'd definitely say it is a fuel filter issue.
They might have been alarmed by the apparently real looking weapons on the vehicle. I have always wanted to get a ring mount for a few of my trucks. I am sure that getting a ring mount would lead to my getting a demilled or dummy m60 or 50 cal. Then, I start thinking that putting weapons on...
