How deep can I safely drill into the ceiling without punching through the roof?

If you use a step bit (the one that makes bigger holes the deeper you go) it will stop as soon as it makes the hole. It is not a spiral so less chance it will pull in further. Once you have the hole you can use a thin screwdriver to measure the depth.

    Cannibalized while waiting for EUC!

If you press GL about it you may get replacement parts from them or credit for their value. You have to do it before you take possession of it. I had the windshields, wipers and headlights removed from my M35A2 while waiting for my EUC to clear. GL gave me a $200 credit toward my next...

Sold the M820A2 to a fellow member. He will be picking it up early next month. If you need the top stack part I will have 2 of them available after the muffler install. The muffler I am installing is 30" long -so I have to cut the J-pipe shorter to fit it in. The cut off piece is perfect...

No help needed with M109 Restore..

I did exactly that! I was contemplating repairing the rusted door and leaving it in. Then I thought about it some more and realized I would have no use for it even in the camper conversion. So I just removed it and patched over the area. Next project is those side rails this weekend. I may...

Mod of the day - electric wipers

If you buy an electronic switch for the wipers you can get control of them the way you do in a car. Look up Cole Hersee wiper switches. They come in manual or electronic versions.
