    Custom winch wiring.

. I would like to offer that the PTO switch - meaning PTO On and PTO Off needs to be in your circuit. I don't think that you want the PTO and by extension the Hydraulic Pump to be on all the time. Maybe I am misunderstanding your goal, but PTO Off could be really important if you were to...

New guy here, just picked up a M103-A3, have a few questions

. Welcome to the Outfit! Happy to have you here. The TM's (Technical Manuals) are here for your trailer. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/upload/trailer/TM9-2330-213-14&P.pdf Snap up some pictures and possibly post them here to the site. There are a few "picture hounds" here - with me at the...

    Restoration of FAV #0010

. It could be worth a trip out to a local Northern Tool. They sell a manual pipe bender. Roughly $150 Don't know if you have even bent electrical conduit or not, but there is a chart that helps you "get it right" when you try to make proper bends. I'm just guessing - and thicker wall tubing...

    torque rod bushings

. Along with the weld on the edges of your plate, a 3/4 inch hole drilled in the center and plug welding that - your metal "keepers" should stay in place. Need to have a 5 gallon bucket of water to cool the metal before the rubber is smoked.

MEP-802a AC disengages when I release the switch

. Funny how that works. At one point in my life, I worked for a large computer company. Had a few pieces of hardware that were on the scrap list - and they were pretty important to our daily operations. We had literally hundreds of spare parts and no matter what those machines needed, our...

My new hobby: Wood military vehicles

5n ton non air brake question

. Save the old master cylinder if it didn't have to be returned for a core. Pulling it apart, inspecting the bore, and the piston will help you decide what happened AND if you can find repair parts.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

. You can't get a Form SF97 from an individual and that form is what releases the vehicle from the military to its first civilian owner. The key to getting a title will be a signed and proper bill of sale - and a willing DMV employee. Best way to make that transaction go smoothly is for the...

    Central FL M1031 project

. Best part about painting a green truck is that it gets better the second or third time that you do it. It will be nice to have the windshield out when you install the dash pad too. Paint and Sand, Paint and Sand, Paint and Sand... It gets better - I swear it. Having a nice paint gun and a...

Comical stenciling on 803 GOV planet today

. See... That's one way to get it done, but if you had a first class Supply Sergeant - they would have traded with somebody - and gotten an extra set of stencils.

My new hobby: Wood military vehicles

. It really is cool to see somebody who has the skills to do that sort of stuff. I was amazed to see how you cut the layers for the outside of the truck, then the frame, then more truck, and the other side of the frame. LOTS of logic goes in to the build process for sure!

    Third's Build Discussion

. Me personally... No. Nothing on big green trucks or trailers all week long. The weather has been really nice. Cool. Breezy. Sunny. Generally a great weather week. Been cranking about 12 hours a day at work though - so no work accomplished on the trucks.

Coolant crossover pipe and misc wires

. Good to see that two of the wires have number tags on them. When you download the TM's (Technical Manuals) there should be a wiring diagram in the back of the book. Those numbers will tell you what they connect to.

    My first multifuel?

. Yes sir. The painting and sanding is definitely something that would "muck up the works" on trying to removed the drum and spyder and wheels all in one operation. For what you are doing, the way you are doing it is really grand. Removing everything in one piece just means that I used a...
