The transmission is fine, what you are hearing is the parking pawl trying to engage while moving. Picture throwing the car in gear while rolling. You have lost something in the transfer case and it is allowing the transmission to keep turning as if it was rolling. The fact that it is...
My mistake, I was thinking of a powerstroke. I work on several brands. You do not have to be such an a** in pointing it out do you? You could say "you are mistaken" I am and have been a certtified master tech both auto and truck for 42 years. I am still human though and as such I do still make...
You will not get enough power through the test light to engage the fuel solenoid. There is no timing chain in a 6.2. There is a plug in the timing cover you have to pull out to get to the gear bolts to remove the pump. You can see if it is turning through there. If not you probably have a broken...
WOW, Gravelrama! There is a name I haven't heard for a while." Top of the hill club", 4 years running back in the early 70's.[thumbzup] What ever happened to that affair?
Rick
On edit, I just Googled it and I see it is still going on, the Big Elim does not look as steep or as long as before...
You forgot to mention skin, Wear gloves. It will dry out your skin very fast and I am sure it is putting bad things into your body in the process.

If you have a nasty tar like gunk in the tank I have found that Xylen works very well at disolving it. Do not use fresh diesel fuel on it because it will get even worse! Ask me how I know. I am still trying to get the stuff off of my hands a year later!
1000 lbs. each, you don't want to hang it on the gate. One of my gate cables broke the other day with nothing on it! Nice thing about these is they have a lifting eye so they lift level.

Wouldn't it be ironic if he did a search and found this thread by himself where he was so preoccupied about getting nothing bigger than a 416 because of the weight? At that time a 101 was "too heavy".:whistle:

If you crack the lines you will get fuel up there quicker. You should set your frequency at about 61-62 when you first start it up. after it warms up a bit see where you are. Before you start welding have it around 61. Most welders are not that frequency sensitive unless you are using one of the...
Due to my age and medical conditions I can no longer go out like I used to. If that is the prevailing attitude I am **** glad I don't! Not sure I would want to meet you on the street or at a show and **** sure I would not want to meet you on the trail. You seem to have some hate/paranoid issues...
It only takes a 300 milivolt error on an O2 sensor to make it go full rich or so lean it shuts down, only 150 - 200 off on a MAP sensor. Moisture is great at changing ground readings. ECM got wet? you are done. You jumped someone and spiked the ECM? You are done. Fuel injection is great and has...
Many years ago I bought a 68 Beetle to restore. Pulled the seats out to recover them and found two large plastic bags with some kind of dried weeds in them behind the rear seat back. Disposed of them appropriately.

I would have to agree, while most of those items adorned my vehicles at times 95% of them went home that night with the owners. The ones that didn't were usually picked up the following day.
I don't know about anyone else but that statement right there bothers me. You have only been wheeling for 13 years and you gave up years ago helping people. Then you make the nasty comment to me about my reference to Granville King and you wonder why people are bitter? I have NEVER, in 46 years...
Snoop, All of the carburetors are adjustable for idle mixture. The later model 13660 carburetor has a plug over the idle mixture screw. If you are looking at the engine from the driver side fender the plug is on the carb mounting flange just to the right of the upper mounting bolt. You can drill...
Too bad other parts of this site don't follow that creed! BUT!! Definitely get hold of the operators manual, this is not your typical Home Depot special. If you do something wrong with theirs it stalls, if you do something wrong with this one the magic smoke comes out. If the magic smoke comes...
