I have no idea, these pics are from a GL auction. PM me if you want the link. I did not want to run afoul of the policy of no auctions but I thought some of you would be interested in this engine.
Rick
To the OP, It is safe to say we don't have a clue as to what it is other than it should not be there. The most feasible guess I heard was the chemical sprayer for a farmer.
I would still be careful with it till you get a better idea. Can you get some better pic's?
Rick
Nothing I have ever seen, definitely not a starter for a 151. Looks like a motor attached to a bell with a rubber boot. Pump or actuator of some sort? Should not be there. Definitely need better pictures, not to be an alarmist but be **** careful until you know what it is! The three wires makes...
I thinik the simplest way is going to be to buy several of the in bed tanks and line them up. You can get several hundred gallons, comparmetalized, that way. As I said before you will need some way to pump from underground because the tanks above ground will all be siphoned dry. Unless you are...
Yep, The mother ship will take whomever the nukes leave behind.
I live right on Joint base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, I will be toast in the first wave and will not have to worry about any of it.
Rick
Yep, been there, done that! See Pics. GD, Can't get a date! You should be every guys dream girl. Buys old Army trucks, WORKS on same trucks and even talks dad into buying a weasel. Now if I wasn't married.........................
Settled down yes, because the strong will survive. Now you will have to deal with the ones who were prepared or were able to survive through skills. I am to old to be a threat to anyone anymore and those are the ones that will perish quickly. In my 20's-30's then I would have been one of the...
Be glad the cops didn't call in a hazmat crew because of the oil spill! If that had been NJ you would still be filling out paperwork and paying fines and cleanup costs. REALLY expensive cleanup costs! Couldn't you feel it vibrating? I would think that bent bad enough to break it would have been...
I get a kick out of the bug-out theory's that abound on here. Everyone always seems to forget that there will be hundreds of thousands of other people out there desperate for food and fuel. I seriously doubt there will be any standing fuel laying around not to mention the thousands of people...
You say you are looking for maximum fuel storage correct? Why do you want to remove the stock tank if you put one in the bed? That is 20 more gallons you can carry and it is in a place where it is out of the way. I have a 75 gallon tank in my Dodge that gravity feeds the stock tank. You have to...
A CUCV is NOT a multifuel! It is designed to burn diesel and diesel only. You are answering your own questions here. the less oil the less smoke, that should be telling you something.
Well sir you never have to worry about me getting upset about the extra hardware pictures, I am behind you all the way. GD, I also like your choice of rock crawler.8-) I haven't ridden in years and I don't know if I even still can with my bad back.
Young lady, You need to get back to work on...
Should have left those pics in, gives it character.8-) Makes us oppressed types in no carry states feel good about you lucky ones.[thumbzup] I hate working in the cold because as you work you get hot, when you get hot you sweat, when you sweat you get wet and then you REALLY freeze your arse...
I noticed the added piece off "hardware" on the engine. Barn critters? Or are you afraid someone might abscond with your engine for a rock buggy?
Rick
I am confused, he said he was headed for the Bakken but that is mostly in North Dakota and the far eastern corner of Montana. He is way west in Montana. Maybe I missed something? No matter what it is one heck of a trip!
Rick
If it had soot on the injector then it was probably leaking in the past also. That soot does not build up in a few seconds, it take a while. flooding is not likely in a running motor, you would have to have complete injector failure and even then there is not enough fuel injected by the pump to...
