Are they using lift blocks on the front axle also? The u-bolt configuration is fine as long as you straighten them as mentioned. The tire to tank, WOW! Pick up a rock in the tire and you will slash the tank top to bottom.

Well, You may have me there, maybe, I think, Don't know.................
Compression ratio is a mechanical thing where compression pressure is a math thing. Compression ratio is a result of the stroke of the piston. Compression pressure is a result of the compression of the mixture minus...

Just goes to show that the old adage "If it sounds too good to be true it probably is" is once again right. Think about it, If he is building Hummers how hard would it be for him to bob a deuce? I would love to see one of the Hummers he is putting out.
Won't you have a detent mismatch between the column and the transmission? I guess as long as the neutral detent is in the right spot you are alright. When I considered doig the swap on mine I was told by a tranny rebuilder friend of mine that the column would need to be changed so you did not...
Definitely get it looked at, a deep down infection can lead to blood poisoning or even gangrene! I can tell you that grinders also bite. They bite real hard when you have a brand new flap disc wheel and you catch your thumb with the edge of it. That was last May and it has not completely healed...
I have neither a deuce or a Hummvee but I know that hummvee's are worth three times what a deuce is worth. I would go for it and if you don't like it then sell it for enough to just buy a bobbed deuce. Make SURE, Absolutely, Positively that it has a good, transferable title.

I have been a judge for the past couple of years and got a plaque for the first year but not last year. I am a little bummed because due to a lack of judges this past year (Carl had to leave for an emergency) I really got no time to wander the grounds. It may have just been an oversight.

And very liberally dust the engine compartment with baking soda to neutralize the acid. Do thin until it stops foaming otherwise you will find out just how fast a Chevy can rust!

A lot of people get high and low mixed up when describing gears. I think what you are talking about is how high the rpm is on the road. That truck will have 4:56 gears in the rear. It has nothing to do with the transmission. You can have the gear ratio changed but it will have to be done to...
That gunk in the tank looks just like mine except mine was more like an inch thick!
Xylene will cut that real nice, carb cleaner and Safety Kleen just make it stickier!!!
Make sure you get the screens on the pumps and the filters.

I would just like to add that doing the recomended "must do's" in the FAQ
section is the way to go.
While i did replace the starter relay (AC40), and the GPR.
I did not clean any of the contacts, nor did i check or replace any fuses.
I would say if I bought another one of these, I would go...
I am looking at your departure time and appointment times and I think you are cutting it pretty close. 5 hours from RI. to Ft. dix middle of the week after a holiday, I don't know. But you only gave yourself 5 hours to Mechanicsburg and that is if you are out of Dix without problem. I don't...
