In all honesty don't try and repair it yourself. If grounding the unit doesn't help, just buy a new one from one of the many Surplus dealers. Otherwise you'll constantly be working on it. You'll fix one connection and then have two go bad the next time. Or you'll "over" solder into another...
Out here in the Pacific Northwest with all our "environmental laws" it is getting harder and harder to find a shop that actually "repairs" radiators anymore. Last year I searched all over and finally found one in downtown Seattle (I live near Duval which is 40 miles east of Seattle as the Crow...
Just for grins and giggles and for anyone who comes to this post later. The VIN number has also been stamped on the "right" side by the spring hanger on these older Studebaker REO's . Guess it just depended on which side of the assembly line the stamper was sitting on that day !
Mines a 1984 and my buddies civilian dually is a 1986. Totally different lines. Mine was a factory dually as it has the Dana HD70 in it and the NP205 transfer-case.
Who knows, maybe they where replaced later (due to damage) and they went with an aftermarket design.
Hey "TGP(IL)" can you take...
Your still required to take emission tests on that old of a vehicle ? WOW ! I'll never live in Colorado ! Here in Washington it's only for the first 15 years of a vehicles life. Now the newer vehicles are no longer required to take the tests as the emissions systems are integrally built into the...
That's what I want, the added stability. I plan on building a housing on mine that would allow me to stand-up in and be able to keep my tools out of the weather.
Don't count on finding a dually box in good shape ! The fenders are unique to the military . At least that is what I was told when I went to GM to get a replacement for mine. I ended up fixing mine with a lot of fiberglass. My buddy has a civilian one and the body lines in the fender are...
That's an interesting idea of adding duals to the M105. Can it be done legally ? I mean would it be over width ? I too have seen M105 trailers roll over just like "juanprado's" did. With the wider stance that might take that problem away and give you more weight capability also. All you would...
Well actually I had them for working on Semi-Trucks along with my double disc clutch adjuster and other weird tools I've had to buy over the last 35 plus years.
The "pork chop" wrench is really very inexpensive. The last one I bought just cost $20.00 . Every truck owner that has dual tires should have one in their tool box.
Try this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IJYHHZA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . I've bought 2 packs and made sure there the correct ones.
If you went with the larger bore wheel cylinders you would notice a big difference in stopping power. Since the larger bore wheel cylinders use more fluid the single air-pack system is not big enough. The A3 deuce has larger front wheel cylinders. Look at "Peashooters" brake post. He has all the...
You probably will have to drill some different holes to mount it but it should fit in the space of the old one. The fittings will not be hard to change out either.
