Not sure your age, but where I am now the AC makes me a lot less grumpy for sure! I know it takes more juice - and we could always cut down if things got really bad - but being cool... Well it almost is a requirement these days! :)

Suggest that you search and there is a guy here with parts available to solve your problems.
@Milcommoguy has done a lot of writing about the HMMWV and wiring and glowplugs and cleaning up the connections in the wiring harness.

THAT would be a miserable drive for sure!
Slickum on a rubber gasket takes WEEKS to dry up.
Amazing how a piece of 1/8th inch nylon cord will hustle that rubber into place - without any Slickum too.
I can still remember our truck drivers giving the mechanics lots of hot air if they had ANY...

Didn't think about that in that way... It could be "really cool" flying down the highway - in the winter - in the snow - and with the window on the drivers side blown out... And NOT in the good cool way either!

I Like it! Really sharp looking bumper project for sure.
The rough finish by way of spray bed liner is really cool.
I used the same thing on the grille for my M1088 and M1089.
It has held up nicely this past year...
