Quickly Learned otherwise.
I raised the rear attachment points by 2”, using aluminum spacers.
Wife had the same complaint.
Now seat is a much more comfortable angle.

Replaced Gates thermostat on the M1008A1

New one working correctly.

Sounds like your shock is good and you need to overcome its pressure to line up holes.
Using a heavy Phillips screwdriver on one side for alignment while inserting pin on other should work. If the Phillips is able to go into...

You're lucky that it’s not all rusted like you mentioned.
I would fill it with DOT5, which is what was used, and call it good unless you see a wheel cylinder leaking.
Factory parts for the...
Lost the front gate locking pin.
Had the gate doors open and locked back for a while.
Picked up some items and went to lock the top latch and the locking pin was gone.
The gates were NOS when I installed them last year.
I guess the dimple wasn’t large enough to hold it it.
Have used them...
Totally agree
I have a duramax now. Leather...blah, blah, etc.
It’s nice and powerful
Yet I always chose to drive my M1008A1 unless I have a specific reason to drive the newer truck.
