Dang TOW wires were always a problem for us.
Can’t hardly see them and they wrap around control tubes,
etc really fast.
Sometimes on post flight, some guys would find remnants of TOW wire because we flew in an area
that didn’t have the TOW wire hazard...
The running joke in Army Aviation is when the last Blackhawk is retired and flown to the boneyard, the crew will be picked up in a Huey.

The difficulty is in reading what is basically a giant run-on sentence with zero paragraphs.
Do everyone a favor and break it up a bit.
There is structural adhesive for aluminum that, when fully cured, is stronger than the metal itself.
It’s used on aircraft.
I used it to patch some holes in my S-280 shelter.
Stuffs amazing and unbelievably strong.
Loctite H8100 I believe.
Something like that. Gets you in the ballpark...

I had same issue and also a horn issue.
Replaced turn signal switch with NOS GM part that I found on eBay.
Solved both problems at once and lever solidly clicks and lever isn’t sloppy.
The Cheap off brand...
