I agree with cbrTodd .
At that price, you can have a nice truck that might run - or parted out you can definitely break even. Spend a little time with some sand paper and paint on just the hard top and easily get a thousand out of that part alone...
Hopefully though, you can get her to...
.
I know I have said it before - but you have a sweet woman!
Hard to find one willing to think it out and help you get new toys to play with "to boot".
She is First Class for sure!
.
Yeah well, we could start up the scuttlebutt about your commander talking to the folks in the EUC group - and how if you had that EUC approved you might re-enlist...
.
Dang Right! Those things drag a big fat juicy trailer and haul the M1 Abrams, so weight won't be an issue!
Only drawback I can see is that there is a bench seat in the back - where the peanut gallery can ride to offer commentary about your driving... :)
.
No Absolutely NOT! We thank you for dealing with the old, the sick and tired and hurt too. On top of the WooFlu mess.
I was just being nosey because if you had a truck for sale I was interested. There are several other folks who may be as well. Thought you said you had posted pix. No...

Well good! That will save you some bucks. Pull that baby and give it a good washing. Then when you drain the oil, put it back and let the oil circulate like was already discussed.
No more in the tank that you have to have - and sadly - like the instructions on the back of a shampoo...
.
That's sad. Some folks just never were told about heat expansion. Tight is nice until a little expansion freezes everything up... I guess the good news is that you found it before you found yourself on the side of the road.
.
Just happened to think about it...
Guessing there is a filter in there somewhere? You might want to pull that if it has one. You might get rid of more water that way on the first "flush fill".
If it isn't a paper cartridge type filter, maybe it is a metal strainer and that could be washed...
.
Doubtful.
Don't know if you have a radiator shop in your town, but having them give yours a careful inspection - clean and pressure test - would be money well spent.
.
There is no reason to completely fill the tank on these flush fills either. Maybe 10 gallons. Could be 5 so long as you are just exercising the cylinders and not trying to work it hard. No need to waste any more fluid than you have to...
.
Wow! That is great news. Amazing how things work - and these projects definitely take time. We appreciate the update for sure! Your cleanup on the ground block is a definite good plus too!
.
No stress, no pressure. I will see about finding some material and get it on the way. That way I can make a few test cuts and be ready when you are.
Would be neat if we could find some sort of neoprene so it is easy to remove the cover later if you ever need to down the road...
.
Neat!
I would be happy to cut the valve cover gasket. Guess I need to figure out what kind of material is needs to be. Guessing a local NAPA or some place like that will sell what we need in a roll. I will beam you a PM with my email so I can look at the file to start looking for material.
.
Agreed. Here in the print shop, we have paper knives that are sitting on four inch oak blocks. The guys who install those machines bring blocks and a small portable planer. The blocks are smaller pieces of oak that are bonded together and the "floor side" has what I call air gaps on the...

Sounds like you heard what a lot of us wanted you to hear. Just like with guns and "every bullet fired is attached to a lawyer" these trucks, especially bigger ones can be the same way. Some goober ending up with your stuff if you make even a simple error in judgement makes a really bad day...
