That looks a lot like the paint scheme that USS North Carolina BB-55 had on the 16 inch guns. I believe the color scheme in the picture above is called the "HC round". There is a solid blue round that is a dummy or targeting round. There are HC rounds that are also painted exactly like that...

I dunno... Most of the rubber protection "schemes in a bottle" are generally for protection from UV rays. The fan lives more or less in the dark. I think what may be happening to a lot of trucks that we have are 20 years old now - and built to last for 7 - so they need to be replaced?

Almost sounds like the heater pad part of the project is about as thick as a waterbed heater. Might even be thinner than a waterbed heater... Those have 4 holes in the 4 corners with 4 tiny wood screws. Naturally the water holds it down when the bed is filled, but something has to keep it...

@Ronmar will be a good source on air lines and their control boxes in the air system too. Don't hesitate to try it on your own with the TM's, but having a person to bounce off ideas is the best part about this site! The Flow-Charts in the books will teach you a lot if you use them.

I would agree, but I am a cheap A$$ and a full auto browning mounted on a turret - outside in the rain - is just a little more than I could stomach. Funny how when those things are "supplied to you by uncle", it isn't nearly as stressful. I figure if it gets that bad, I would rather have an...

.
If the bushings / bearings in the starter are worn badly - yes, the starter could be drawing power where the armature might be touching (or almost) the fields inside the starter.
Have you tried all the other things like removing all the fuses and seeing if the drain is still happening?
.
Makes you wonder if an open pipe kind of gizmo with a luggage rack - or would there be enough fuel savings to consider a cab fairing to pay for it? Seems that most of what we do is for looks rather than actually saving a dollar - so maybe you dress up your truck as you see fit?
It might be...

I am often referred to as a packrat, so I didn't realize they really existed.
It is amazing here how we have tiny mice here - and they will shread an engine compartment in just a few days. Even with all their fluff, they are about half the size of a golfball.

Nice idea @Skinny !
Removing the fuses when on a quest for a power drain. Naturally any hack jobs in the wiring for oddball or non-military additions could get overlooked but it is a nice "polite" way to look in one spot for everything drawing juice.
