Still believe to see top end gains one needs to get the air fuel mixture right at all RPM ranges so injector work when adding a turbo. As for the 200 psi rail pressure I have increased in a couple of mine to I crossed my fingers that I did not flatten my cam. Yes you must be care full with that...
One would think ignorant is an opinion not a fact. I do not know why you are having trouble with your PT AFC rebuilds or how long they last so I can not comment on that. I would bet many trucks ran many miles with no trouble with the AFC. My 915A1 with the 400 Cummins never gave me any trouble...
Yep no expert here myself but sounds like you got a good combination with correct turbo and fuel. Yes bigger injectors but that is where we are going to get the real power increase and all the other problems that come with it. Would seem like a well built higher HP / torque motor can be built...
Now I was told by my injection pump man that had his own shop and worked on the Cummins in the military stock 250 rail pressure not to go over 200 psi. It will do nothing for performance and just put more stress on valve train / cam shaft. Yes on bringing rail up to 200 max and do not go silly...
Yes. Lot of threads on the matter.

Ok another day of cleaning. Removing the wheels / drums and cleaning out the muck from inside of the drum and what just using the hose did not wash out with everything still on. Did I already say that I got the T shirt! Yea not going in that muck again but it was fun for me and the kids to try...
I do not know if that is the OP's problem but I add a small sheet of asbestos to my metal shield. Got it off an old house that had the asbestos shingles for siding. Been keeping it around for when I use the fire wrench to protect something I do not want to burn. Just cut off a piece and bolted...
Look at the left rear rear tire see the mud spinning off the tire and the lugs on that tire are clear. Yea lockers might have helped but I am not putting any more money into this truck. Maybe if there was more water but the muck was thick. Also see the left front rear has dug a hole and put a...
Better pic of me stuck in the muck. 3 hours of fun three days of cleaning. Got it nice and clean but also got the T shirt. "Been there had fun will not do that again".
Good thing they have a loader there.
Yep scammers on CL. I had to get a burner phone so I could list stuff on CL. Did not want to give out my good phone number and have spammers get hold of it.
NY Tom got a pm from the op and you guessed it just needed to get the system fully primed. That is much better than having to remove the head to check assembly.
Yes If the plunger guide was put in backwards it will throw off timing / correct stroke big time. I will look for the thread on the same thing that happened or get you pics of the correct way it should look when assembled.
OK could not find the thread but hope this helps. With the Head out...
