Well, once you get her to fire up and run - maybe a little investigation into the solid state parts will bring the power making on-line. The good part is that more than likely Groban pulled parts off the shelf rather than designing parts from scratch.

Nothing like lift and insert starter. Remove starter, chase the threads, lift the starter again.
There is no job that can't be done several times - just for fun :)
Glad you had the bolts.
SO, big question: On these GM starters on these trucks - There isn't a knurled patch on the starter...

Wow... Can't say anything else without spitting out four letter words. At that rate they should drive it to you and install the hose and pour in new coolant.

Yes sir! That's it for sure. It is amazing those skirts and smoother sides make up a lot of money in fuel savings over time. Like you said, a tiny bit better fuel efficiency might buy a new round of filters and oil. Every little bit helps!
I like those stone covers. It is amazing too what...

Guy is a wealth of information about making power. The statement about the "-24" TM is dead on. I slipped a little when I was trying to get you started down the TM Trail. ;-) Part Target is a good way to get part numbers to NSN's. Sometimes, those numbers together will get you to somebody...

Prospect62 , I am with you 100%. I have similar working conditions for me and my trucks. Most of it is done on the dirt or grass - and my Soldier B seems to be named Helen Wait. :) Pretty amazing though. Over time you get pretty good at finding ways to prop something up or hold a piece until...

Interesting comment about the CTIS wheel covers. I saw a brand new tractor pulling a brand new trailer in front of our building. I could see the CTIS fitting but everything else almost looked like a hubcap. The "look" was almost like they were trying to make the truck and trailer more...

You might put a few drops of Marvel Mystery Oil in the IN line on the treadle valve. Love Tap might work too, but if it is a rubber o-ring going south a few drops of really thin oil could help.

That door pan looks really good! Sheetmetal work is difficult for sure... Body work with sanding and priming and sanding and priming and sanding and priming is slow going. Or at least it is for me. I do a little, wipe with Acetone, spray a little "rattlecan" primer and then do some more...

White vinegar will do great wonders on copper radiators. Lots of it. Connect any old piece of (cheap) hose to the bottom and top of the radiator and let it sit for a few days. It might just be simple calcium where the water evaporated. Or it could some nitwit might have poured brackish...

Looking Good!!
Seems like the "concrete floor" in your garage looks a lot like mine  That does work though!
Yes sir, trying to make those "stove bolts" stay still while you tighten them - without the magic of the square punch at the factory is a royal pain! But it looks so much...

Hi Chuckanut ,
If you want to go the cheap way, get yourself a wooden dowel (or an old piece of broomstick) and press the wood to the place where you might be hearing noise. It isn't a stethoscope, but it works the same way. As noisy as the motor is anyway, the scope won't do any more for...
.
Sure... Just a plain old multi-meter touched to each battery will tell you voltage in the batteries. One lead to positive and negative on Battery #1, then the same again on Battery #2. For the longest time I didn't understand that - especially with a battery tied to another battery to make...

Hate it was such a "bear" to do, but compared to removing the fan, radiator and all the supporting hardware + disconnecting everything on the motor and transmission to pull that out as one unit it was easier than it might have been. Definitely a Royal PITA, but maybe you have done it once and...
.
So it is really strange... Both of my S&S trucks have exhaust vents on the front gladhand covers. My M936 has stamped steel (rather than aluminum) gladhand covers and there are NO vents on those stamped pieces of metal. I went out back to look and took a picture and the back of the gladhand...
