I bet they (M416) are handy trailers. They look it.
Too small for my needs, but I would like to have one.
They didn't make as many and are much harder to find from what I've read.
If you do find them, they are more $$ than the M101 series.
Yea
I will never sell my M101A2's.
Unless it's...
I use mine almost daily on my ranch.
Dirt, hay, fencing, trash, scrap, ice, etc., etc.
In fact used the tailgate as a workbench today grinding some things to paint.
Any M101 series are excellent trailers.
Im still amazed just how useful they are and how easily they are modified,
if I ever...
Tractor Supply or your local farm supply store will have it.
All natural and smells good to us, but the mice can't stand it and keep out.
Been using it for years and have had excellent results.
There are dozens of different Military trailers.
From really big to really small.
Most are designed to carry only one thing.
Water, fuel, ammo, shelters, wire, telephone poles, etc.
A lot are big and heavy and impossible for most of us to use without a proper tow vehicle. (Yes, those would...
Sold my M923A2 and m998A1 yesterday.
Wasn't trying at all and didn't really want to.
But.....it was a REALLY! great offer and hard cash talks.
Watching them drive off was bittersweet.
Completely fine with it this morning.
Now if I can get rid of my M989A1 trailer..........
Famous last words.
A lot of guys dump with theirs. Most haven't had issues yet.
Quite a few have screwed up brake lines and tail lights.
Too many have busted the unobtainable casting already mentioned.
At least you do know it's not designed/intended for dumping.
I think the M101A2-3 is...
They are out there.
When I bought mine, it was a new production military issue one.
Bought several actually.
The ones on eBay are stupid prices now. When they show up that is.
Some vendors also price gouge
I like National seals also.
Always have had excellent results with them.
I'm not doubting that at all.
Just relaying what Ive read in a few old SS threads.
The military surplus seals must be made of gold considering how much the eBay, etc. vendors ask for them.
The engine is already torn down quite a bit.
It already has high mileage
Sure it was running fine until head gaskets failed.
It's a daily driver and reliability is a key factor.
New gaskets and improved bolts already acquired.
To me, it makes no sense not to pull engine and rebuild.
That...
It is very easy.
I have read on SS that there is a difference between military spec seals and civilian seals.
The military one seems to do the job and the civilian one leaks right away.
I used the military one and it was fine.
No experience with the other
You'll be fine dumping with it, until you break that casting.
Then you will have to buy another trailer or find someone who is parting out one as the part is not available.
The equipment transport TM shows the trailers pivot for loading space only.
They can load more on a train car.
They...
