You should post the name of this company so no one else gets burned like you did. Once word starts getting out about the crappy work they do maybe they will "straighten out and fly right" !
It's a thick viscous liquid that never really dries. The stuff on the outside of the bottle is still tacky after 10 years ! I only use it on parts that I know will never come apart !
So you have never seen any problems from a manufacturer ? If there is a "run" that got messed up then Yes it is possible. I'm just throwing out possibilities, and until this engine is disassembled we will not know. But you should always check your parts because you never know unless your Gerhard...
I think something happened to the site. Today everything is working just great ! Nothing changed on my end. My problem though had to do with moving from thread to thread.
Find some old style wiper motors. Easily rebuilt and work very well. I also don't like the Newer style with the red button. They don't seem to have the same power as the older ones which translates into poor performance at slow speeds. You also need to clean up the air switch. They get clogged...
Actually things are gonna change faster then you think. My best friend is an engineer for a new automobile company here in the NW. They eliminated the batteries and are going with quick charge-slow discharge capacitors to run the electric motors. Both rear wheels have a motor. It also has regen...
This is the stuff. I have used this product for years now and it is great ! The only problem is it sticks to well ! If you have to remove the part it takes two strong men and a boy scout to remove it ! It is not a spray on gasket, you apply it with a brush.
Having been in this business for over 36 years I don't know how many times I have seen parts totally screwed up even straight from the manufacturer. You must always verify the measurements. I vividly remember an engine that had the heads machined and the "proper" shims sent with them. This was...
They should be "pressure" ones. All the wiper motors from the 1950's to 1980's deuce used the air-pressure motor. They can be really reliable if lubed properly.
Also the control valve should be taken apart, cleaned and lubed every few years. I find a lot of gunk in mine after just 3 years.
I have over 6 wiper motors that need rebuilding but the shafts are bad on everyone. So I asked Aaron (Peashooter) if he could make up some for me. They came Saturday and today I installed two of them . They are great ! Also they are made out of Stainless Steel so no more rust issues ! I'm sure...
Jason even if he had the wrong pistons installed that wouldn't explain the "blow-by" problem. If the wrong pistons where installed he would just have a low power problem. The only thing that would explain the blow-by is incorrect rings or rings that have failed to seat. Or (and this is reaching)...
The fording valve yes, but the PTO's I don't think so. All our trucks had to be able to drive through the surf from off loading on a LCU or bigger LST .
