Folks who aren't around here don't know much about Lake Norman. It is a really large patch of water and depending on where you are on it - the waves are amazingly rough. Somehow or other, the name the inland sea has been used in marketing literature. Winter here can be shorts and t-shirts...

Heck of a plan Chucky!
We can claim these trucks as dependents as soon as we finish paying off the debt from all the people who have been sitting home on their butts collecting a check. Hellen Waite is in charge of that government program. If you want to be a part of the new plan, go to hell...
.
Well HmmwvTim ,
It definitely looks like the creeping crud has attacked your dash for sure. Makes you wonder how much time the truck spent without a top in the rain. The steel sockets and the steel bulb bases seem to grow without any dielectric on them.
At least you found the problem!
.
You are so right. There will be plenty of extra generators laying around on the ground. That and all the other spoils from the idiots. Same bunch of people who are cooking bacon on a campfire and wonder why all their stuff was taken...
That trailer that you have is the ultimate fall back...

THAT would be a job I could enjoy. You would need to bring spare clothes to change in to.
After the first sinking of the day - how much worse could it get?
Especially if one in four were going to sink you could eventually come to work prepared.
I can see me eventually making a minor...

Yeah, My nice square "factory" batteries were stolen shortly after the truck arrived here. I ended up replacing those batteries with four 27 series batteries. Worked great until I let it sit too long, so on the 12v side it was really low. It seems to be that the starter runs on 24, but...

Sad to say, in a year for me - No. Best solution is to crank the truck and make about a 20 mile "loop around the block".
I messed. I metered. I measured. I rewired the batteries with new cables. None of that solved the problem. The new cables made it so the charging system is more...

For sure - and the right name to search with is the real magic.
Trucks are more my thing.
I kept searching for a rubber "bushing" and I never could find it. Going through the TM page by page, I finally found "cab support" to be the proper term for the part I was hunting for... It gets...
.
Now that is a NEAT looking little truck!
If I had one of those...
Even an old grouchy guy looking for cool air would be happy to wear a GTH hat to keep the sun off my ears - and be happy - until I had a heat stroke.
.
Welcome to the outfit Tom!
There are several guys on here that are really sharp on "making power".
Chances are the "military name" for it is different than how you are searching in the TM's
I did a quick search myself and came up empty...
I imagine the guys will come along after dinner and...

Nice writeup Autocar !
That's a lot like the S & S trucks and their brake shoes that rust to the drums.
Same story if they sit around too long without being driven.
.
They are doing a lot more than just "and HOLD onto my money" .
Chances are they are collecting interest for every day that money is in their hands before the government releases paperwork.
They can't sell you something they don't really own.
Hold it - Just in case they need to refund it to you.
.
Had to laugh.
It isn't funny - but it is so true.
Those grouchy old men behind the paper parts books when I was a youngster seemed so dang hard to get along with. Gotta say I miss them now. Now days we ended up with pimple faced kids who don't really even know how to "point and click"...
