GUESSING only... Dump trucks are generally pressure up to extend the dump cylinder and "gravity down". If you turn the box lever the other way - does the bed come back down? If it has been sitting for a while (unused) it might take it a while and it gets faster as it gets closer to "all the...

The best I could come up with was The Incredible Machine - or why are you guys talking about me ;-)
Inquiring minds want to know. Now there are two of us.

Who? What? Why?
Do you mean that it isn't okay for tax paying American citizens to buy retired military equipment - but it is okay for the government to give armored wheeled and mechanized rolling stock to our sworn enemy? All of this mess is exactly that. A mighty fine mess and the...

Crown out and away from the motor.
It flattens when the torque is applied.
I can't swear to it, but I assume it is "the last chance" to help hold the bolt if is works loose.

It really IS amazing to watch somebody with a tire hammer (duckbill as you mentioned) and a bottle of soapy water.
Back in the days of old, our tire guy could hit a tire maybe three times to break it off the bead. Then flip it over and do it again...
Experience can't be bought.

Great News!
Happy to hear that you have "street power" at your place!
Sure would be nice to find all the supplies you need for next time like you said.
You might look in the "Classifieds" section for cables and maybe even a generator trailer.
If not, maybe you could post a request...

Okay, I'm done. Hate to say it but I flat just don't know any way to fix that in the truck.
I have seen cranks welded and turned but that sounds like you would be doing a complete rebuild.
Maybe somebody knows better
In our profession, we have large round cylinders with steel shafts that run...
.
If there is any way possible - you don't really want to weld the balancer to the crankshaft.
I suggest scrapping the balancer you have now. Get another. Several folks have replaced one recently.
Get a tap and follow the threads in the crank. Get rid of the slivers of metal and hopefully...

Possibly snap a few pictures and upload them so folks can have an idea what a M416 looks like?
I started to snag one off the Web, but maybe the real thing would be a better angle.

Sad but true - and if you get ANY response - I will be pretty amazed.
More than likely the person that started that program got fired and nobody ever reads the surveys.
Just guessing - but based on past performance I wouldn't hang my hopes on a reply.
