Synflex air line broke at middle pumpkin m1088- not surprised

Yep did not mean cheap water hose from home depot. Synflex come in my forms single and double layer as for the air brake system. I get my Synflex air lines from NAPA or the local truck parts place. I should have said correct truck Synflex line to be clear. Here is some of my Aux. Synflex air...

    M109A3 Idling bad

I too use the Optilube in all the diesels. I also did a super dose of Chevrons Techron for diesels in my GMC 3500.

    M109A3 Idling bad

Just going through the tm's and found this again minimum 0.023. Trying to understand why some fuel control unit assembly's are sticking after install if everything else is not sticking. We know why they are sticking because of the varnish stain / crud in fuel. Now that would be the fuel control...

Fuel filters or lack thereof and stalling.

Before we get to the terms of the bet I think you better go back and change that to " I believe" it was you!

    M109A3 Idling bad

Oil good fire bad. If you can get it running I like the LDS troubleshooting manual. Seems like most of the time it's said to check pressures at the bleed screw. That might be a nice place to start if she will run.

Fuel filters or lack thereof and stalling.

How bout this I bet you five thousand dollars I can remove the fuel pressure relief valve from my truck and it will start and sit there and Idle just fine. Now the money goes paid to USAFSS Coldwarrior our chaplain care of the Ron Harris fund going to his wife. Now since you say you were forced...

    M109A3 Idling bad

Yep now that your FDC is bypassed the droop screw does not act the same because the FDC wedge plate is no longer moving. Now every change comes through the twin nut main fuel adjustment. If you did change the setting on the droop now you are just changing where the main is set to. Did you read...

Steel Soldiers MV of the month 2019 - June VOTE HERE!

I should have looked at Phil's restore picture. I only look at the pic while the bushes were eating at it. Still like red things but Phil looks like you did a great job. Can half my vote go to Phil and half go to Fuzzy?

Fuel filters or lack thereof and stalling.

"Very low pressure flow" is one thing to make her run and higher pressure is performance. This is why I have said if you have fuel flow to the head and no start then the problem is in the head most of the time.

Fuel filters or lack thereof and stalling.

Now for the real kicker would a motor start and idle / run if the fuel filter pressure relief was wide open or removed? This thread has been looked at 631 times so come on guys lets see you answers. Yes or no nothing going to bite you here if you wrong. Maybe!

Fuel filters or lack thereof and stalling.

Yes there is circulation and that is with the pressure relief close and not letting any fuel leak past. The in tank pump alone will circulate fuel through the head back to the tank. Maybe you posted before I did? As I said it's the little hole in the over flow valve that makes it possible with...

Fuel filters or lack thereof and stalling.

If I understand your question how can the in tank fuel pump be returning fuel to the tank with the motor off. If it was not for the very small hole in the over flow valve it would not if your FDC was bypassed. Here is a picture of my return line with just the in tank running over pressure valve...

Ouch day late dollar short. Elijah95 spoke up yesterday in a pm and I told him I would bring what I had to the Ga. rally and he could have them.

Fuel filters or lack thereof and stalling.

Yea if you can keep it running check pressures to start with. Believe your problem is in the head somewhere but if you can get it at least started then there is hope. Performance comes later.

Synflex air line broke at middle pumpkin m1088- not surprised

Mine was off too when I got the truck and just had to hook it back up to in gage the axle interlock. Some aux. lines on my 915 do not have the DOT stamped on the line. My air ride seat is one of them. The axle interlock maybe is one of those non critical lines that if it failed it would not...

Fuel filters or lack thereof and stalling.

With everything correct in the system the in tank pump will always circulate fuel back to the tank without the engine running. Sounds like you have fuel getting to the head. Even with the over flow valve stuck open the 4 to 7 pounds the in tank pump puts out would keep just enough pressure in...

Fuel filters or lack thereof and stalling.

Sorry forgot to add the reason I say use the in tank pump to help remove the delivery valve. If you just remove it and spray some crud cutter down the bore you could push any crud back into the plunger and it's bore. With the in tank running you have a better chance to push any crud out of the...

Behr Paint Jobs- Show me your MV's

All though the flat paint always looked like it came straight from the factory the problem. Slide buy that over hanging branch and it leaves skid marks. Believe if I did never repaint with a satin would have my vote.

Fuel filters or lack thereof and stalling.

Sorry Allen square valve body and round bore so it will spin around in the boar. If you can see the little hole near the end of the bore or right by the top where the threads start that is where the fuel goes to each port after the plunger lines up with the correct port. The valve being square...
