I use a winch that hooks to front of my trailer, facing to the rear.
Been used for 3 CUCVs and one M101A2 (until forklift showed up I didn't know existed to load trailer onto trailer).
Works like a champ.
Leave tongue support folded and simply pull trailer/Generator up on trailer.

Totally understand the need it up and running now.
Recommend you do it when you can.
Not only will you save $$ by doing things yourself, but you learn a lot about the truck and systems at the same time.
Plus the pride that comes with a completed job you did yourself.
Tell them the next time you see them taking pictures and giving you crap that since you don't feel the "love" you plan on getting a 5 ton truck to help with your depression !
That made me laugh out loud.!!
If the side panels could actually hold back some weight I would use it to haul gravel.
Adding a side dump bucket with hydraulics would make a heavy trailer even more so.
The truck hitch can handle only so much.
Its funny you mentioned the water because I had already thought of a pool, but...
No clue.
Why the A1 Instead of a totally new number since they are two completely different trailers?
Nice Deere. I have a 5 series myself.
Now Im gonna have to get one of those trailers. Looks to be a lot more useful.
This is what I used.
Stuff is like concrete when it's fully dried.
I used Sherman Williams because at every Home Depot store, the paint guys were Idiots.
Even when showing them a picture with codes and a label and telling them step by step how to find it, they just couldn't grasp it.

Good score.
Great trailer and you can't beat the prices.
You have a straight shot to Texarkana at least.
Almost a 5 hour drive for me down there.
I just finished redoing my M101A2.
Absolutely love it.
Keep us updated!
The M989A1 tows great with my 5 tons.
Backing it up is totally different!!
I always prided myself as fairly skilled when backing up a trailer.
The M989A1 wins every time.
I cannot back that thing up more than 5 feet before it wins.
Locking the pin wouldn't help me as I'm not in a huge...
Hopefully you kept the original alternator
That can be rebuilt
I would suggest a heavy dose of reading threads and TMs and basic tool investment.
Never to late to learn.
Most shops (some owners even) don't understand the 12/24 electrical system and can sometimes make things worse.
Was wondering how long it would be before that was thrown back.
I was looking for a connector that didn't exist in new form.
You sent me one and I thanked you ecstatically for it.
This was after hours and hours of searching.
That had NOTHING to do with the TMs. I already knew what the part...
I was trying to show him that instead of not looking up anything on his own to do some homework and actually look at the manual.
I will use every tool/resource available and if I still can't find an answer, THEN I will ask in the forums.
Others simply don't and just ask here when all they...
Of course the easiest way to level it would be to install a set of CUCV wheels and tires.
A lot of fort hoods sold with that very setup a few weeks back.
No it's not as intended, but looks a lot better than a heavy nose low profile or tons of steel hanging on the bumper.
