What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Correction just got off the phone and got rid of one more so five more to go. Why purge getting to old to have that amount of projects plus my memory is about done and want grass not trucks. Going to sell the five acres if I can get it cleared out. So money is the truth and I rather be on a...

    Sherpa winch vs PTO winch

Yes inspection of the outside cable is a good thing but if you have a solid core it is hard to inspect the inside. They make a grease injector rig for injecting grease into a cable but it can be a pain if there is a lot of cable. They got us one for the tug boat but I don't think we ever used it.

    Sherpa winch vs PTO winch

I am thinking maybe I need to be checked for Alzheimer's because I can not remember a long post but I remember the Girls in Vegas 40 years ago. Good thing what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas and a rear winch is a good thing. Sometimes it is better to get pulled out the way you came in if the...

Rebuilt HH, now hard start and no idle

Well checking the fuel control for moving freely is what we want. Now that your FDC is bypass it's just like turning up the fuel and should be very responsive. Get a Pyro installed as you might be able to go more or might need to come down.

    Sherpa winch vs PTO winch

Never said to loose a PTO for electric I love my PTO winch's and stand by them. A good Hooker will not lower her price as there is always a John waiting. Yes I miss read, you said PTO seals I was thinking Winch seals. PTO seal leaking just replace them or rebuild the PTO before you install it if...

On the chunk housing /axle housing should be a data tag. Just wanted to see if they recycle the whole front axle or just axles.

Are prison system is a joke to begin with.

    Sherpa winch vs PTO winch

If your truck came with a PTO winch you will most likely stand by it like a good hooker stands by her prices. If it did not go with electric. Deuce PTO winch can carry a lot of line if you have to double / triple out. The Sherpa says it only carries 105 feet. If you have to double out you...

Rebuilt HH, now hard start and no idle

Just had same problem on another thread and it was the fuel control assembly binding up. Take off the shut down cover and make sure the fuel control assembly that is screwed into the Head move very easy. You can even run the motor with the shut down cover off and shut it down with your finger by...

    Knuckle Seal

I have only found one cv axle on a 60's era Deuce axle and the data tag on axle said Rockwell over Timken. All other axles I have found were from the 70's and say Rockwell over Rockwell. Check your data tag and let's see what is says but I bet 5 bucks your 5 ton is u joint. I have never seen a...
