Welcome to the outfit! You have already jumped "into the green" in a big way!
On top of what the others have already mentioned - be sure to download the Technical Manuals (TM's) for your truck. Having those books will give you troubleshooting information, part numbers and repair guidance...
.
Having the TM would be fantastic! I can't imagine what I would ever do with something that made that much good water, but reading and learning would be good exercise for the brain.
That thing is a complete package as I understand it:
Water Device - WTA-60
Generator - MEP806b
Trailer to...

I agree with the scaling and painting and mounting your own tires.

Happy to see that cattlerepairman was able to answer the tube question.
I thought maybe, but the best I could have done.
.
Agreed. Maybe I didn't say it quite right.
I had thoughts of a piece of plywood (not OSB, real plywood) that would crush to conform.
Maybe and maybe not.
It just bothers be a lot when that "ear" on the jackstand is supporting the weight.
If that ear popped off, it wouldn't be pretty.
.
So just fishing for ideas here, but I wonder if a piece of wood between the stand (steel) and the axle (steel) would be a way to "better support" the truck? Somehow it just feels like more than those two little "ears" need to be supporting that vehicle...
.
Wow!! That is a heck of a deal. Not sure how old the tires might be, but dang.
Fuel Pump and Brake Shoes would have been that much by themselves!
Make sure you check them for cracks and stuff. You may end up having to learn to mount tires because a lot of commercial truck tire shops...
.
You could cook a lot of food and fill a lot of canteens for a lot of people.
I imagine there is a "gallons per day per person" measurement in some TM somewhere.
Guess that would tell Supply how many to requisition for a battalion.
.
There is nothing as wonderful as a woman who will roll up her sleeves and fix stuff!
We also have a lady in this outfit with a Stewart & Stevenson who is a volunteer firefighter.
So you aren't the only one - and THANK YOU for being part our group!
.
Wow! At that rate, I could filter Lake Norman .
Okay, so I searched it out and 3.2 trillion gallons of water would take just a bit of time to filter. Only 1,066,666 hours.

I miss having interns... Used to be that I could have printed those images, handed them off to one of "the kids" and had AutoCad 3-D drawings before the day was done. Their excitement would have been going over to manufacturing and watching his drawing come to life. We had several sharp...

I had an uncle who was stationed in Germany in the 70's. He worked on a lot of the early jets and I managed to get a lot of black and white recon prints of castles over there. His last job was working on RF-4 (I think they were C models possibly).
He served in the Air Force, and the image...
.
Well good deal!! You even have the front end of the equation. You hit the nail on the head. Split rims can be hard work, but they work. I remember that the guy who used to do the tire work could unseat a bead in a couple of minutes. Inflating was easy (for him) using the "cage" and I...
.
Bill, I don't think I have seen it explained that clearly. The cute factor and fitting in the garage are definitely hard to argue with. Especially when having discussion with the ladies.
.
Welcome to the group!
Lots of folks here with information and hopefully we can find you some trailer bows...
If nothing pops up here, try posting a thread in the "Classifieds" under Parts Wanted.
Again, welcome to the outfit. Post up a new thread about your new trailer and possibly what...
.
So I had to open my big mouth... Okay, so what exactly is it? Best I can tell it is a water machine - maybe? It appears to be mounted on a M871 trailer possibly? I have no idea that I need it, but Easley to Charlotte with my M1088 is something I could do.
Maybe PM me a price just because...
.
Absolutely Milcommoguy!
Cats and Dogs will chase that red dot until they get tired
Figured finding a big ugly yellow gun might attract attention in the post.
Seems like Andy already has one of those and a real mechanical gauge on the truck too.
Better than the average for sure.
.
Wonder if you could get some benefit out of a hand held temperature gauge?
Squeeze the trigger and it takes a reading.
You could evaluate temperatures like the wall inside your house. (compare to the house thermostat)
You might compare anything else that has a thermostat - and see if you...
