That is a major concern for me. How safe will it be till they can pick it up. I would imagine a genset would be a hot commodity in a place with power issues.

Have you tried a quick whiff of ether? I often need to do that to get them to light off once the fuel system has been apart. It should start fine on its own after that.

Its hard to explain these things to people that are not mechanically inclined. I tried to explain 3 phase and single, 50/60hz, rpm, and load requirements.
All I heard in return was crickets.

Friends that are out of the country(Aguila) have been hit by Irma and it looks like they will be out of power for 6 weeks to 6 months. I was asked to source a genset or two for them since they know I have mil-surp generators.

The red scribed tooth is ONLY TO LINE UP THE HEAD WITH THE IP. It is not used in timing the IP to the motor.

If the original rims are 20inch and the second rim is 20inch AND the original width(probably 10inch) is the same as the second width, you should be good to go.
I love my MVs, but when travelling long distances, a modern vehicle is way mo better and if its a rental, none of its issues are your's. I'd rather not have to worry about a thing, except where to stop for food.
