24087 is the Viet Nam era color. You must have meant 34087 which is what is in the picture.

M916A1 winch operation while in gear?

    M52A2 recovery from Ft Jackson

Now you know why the Army kept it so long after the other multifuels were long gone. It was the fastest truck in the fleet!

    Help identifying a Military generator

Pics look great. I've got one of those, not near as nice as that one. Buda diesel engine, correct? I can see what the data plates say on mine and report back.

    Captured nuts on the firewall.

Those weld nuts are a carryover from the 50's and 60's when all the trucks had the 25 amp generator with the firewall mounted regulator.

Make sure you tell the cops everything, the machines are likely still at the scrap yard but not for long. The yard will have the ID of the thief. There are usually only a few places that take scrap, and the thieves are too stupid to take it far away.

Trying to get two m220's running after a long rest

Welcome to the site. Except for the frame cuts, the trucks look like great candidates to be fixed. The troublesome Hydramatics are gone already. The trans is a Clark out of a WWII GMC CCKW deuce and the transfer is a 2 speed GM also out of a banjo WWII GMC. The flywheel housings are also...

With steel bringing $10 per hundred pounds or more in most areas, it has the slimeballs out day and night. Heck, at that price I'm even tempted to pick up old washing machines that people dump on the side of the road and haul 'em in.

    Ft Polk pickup available

I will have to go to Ft Polk within the next two weeks for a pickup, so if you have something to get moved off base and moved in the direction of Houston, TX, I can help. I will have 25' of trailer deck and about 16 tons of payload available. PM to coordinate.

    Hi Idle for M915-m920

    emergency air connection

On the 915's, you have to apply the trailer air valve for service/emergency air to be supplied to the rear glad hands.

    emergency air connection

Silly question, by valve do you mean the valve on the dash or at the glad hand?

    M38A1 saved from scrapyard

Amazingly complete. I would clean it all up and ebay it without doing any repairs. I'm in the same mode as you are, the "SPCA" of military trucks, save them, clean em up, and find them a new home with a loving owner.
