On a serious note....a little gathering sounds like fun...not a full blown rally but a one day MV together. Kind of like the antique car clubs that have a cruise and dine thing.
Yea.......anything flammable...MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I am legend for my ecclectic fuel mixtures.
But I have to say after driving my 5 ton wrecker everything else does seem very small.
And you see some really nice seat covers in the little cars and trucks that pass you.
I am thinking bob 5...
As FT said we were out in the boonies at an abandoned chert pit.
The morons I was refering too drive around inflicting their music (and I use the term loosely) on people who don't want to hear it. They drive by churches, hospitals, funerals with no regard for the rights of other people to...
When I built my bob deuce I took two Marine HUMVEE fording exhaust pipes and made a set of stacks.....not any louder but a much mellower tone.
Having put over 50,000 miles on a deuce in Germany in the 70's (hearing protection not required for vehicles or at the rifle range) I now suffer from...
Well.....you could paint them if your main concern was to lose some weight off of a bob job.
Ref the used pull offs they would be a good candidate for the above.
Well.......what are you going to do with one aluminum wheel????
If you had seven it would lighten the load for a bob 5 ton, otherwise it is just an expensive paper weight.
All the vehicles have been moved.....we had a lot of good folks volunteer to help but we had to make other arrangements due to liability issues.
Thanks to all those who expressed an interest in helping WPR.
Me and Freightrain cranked a multi that had been sitting a while and it went wide open...it shut down with the fuel shut off.
I had a 250 Cummins in my 816 that ran away due to fuel in the crankcase.....I stuffed a towel in the air intake and killed it. It would not shut off with the fuel shut...
Find a king pin plate off of a scrapped out road trailer. It is made of heavy steel.
Cut it to about 6 feet X 6 feet so you can put short legs on to to rest on the frame.
Weld quarter plate steel sides to it (about 3 feet high) which will give you a good sized box.
Set it up there and lock it to...
I may be able to bring a HEMMET cab to the LA rally if the seller will allow it.
Is there anyone attending the rally that is seriously interested in buying one.
I dont have pics yet but I saw them when I was at the GL site that sold them.
They are mostly complete......steering wheel and gear box...
Well it,'s not mine, and it sure ain't a toy, but the Warrior Patriot Resources organization just got this neat Landoll trailer. I might even get to pull it once and awhile.
It will be put to work immediatly transporting vehicles and goods througout the country. It will be based out of...
Ron,
PM Alredneck....he does a lot of hauling for SS members and can prob snag it for ya.
His rates are reasonable.......he can't be bought.......but he can be rented. :)
Mike....are you bringing an MKT?????
I am looking forward to "Chili Mac", "SOS" and all the other gormet dishes you can whip up in a field mess kitchen.
I will make my industrial strenght sweet tea.
Runner,
That will be a nice rig to bring to a rally.
The IV cable is about 8 feet long.
The "pogo stick" is the post that allows the air lines and IV cable to ride off the deck of the tractor. It is spring loaded and will bend and flex to allow sharp turns.
Remember that these trailers...
That looks like it might have been an Air Force truck.
Install a 5th wheel, air lines, pig tail and work her like a rented mule.
Larger tires/wheels will give you better road speed and fuel milage.
Not a bad looking old Cornbinder.
