I guess I am old school and try and work smart not harder. You won't save any time if you try the plywood trick and why fight a bear when you can fight a rabbit. As said you will need to pull all drums to check your hardware. Also you need a good tool to loosen all the wheel nuts and double...
Did you check or maybe use another ground to the steering column. There was a ground strap from firewall to steering column on my trucks. If you go under the hood and unplug the horn trip wire from the column box and ground it out there does the horn blow?
Yea trying to pull off the drum and tires off on a sheet of plywood and trying to get it all back could be a real pain. To me just plain dumb. Just remove the tires and rims like you were changing them then you just do the drum by yourself. If you think it is to heavy just get a friend and you...
Thought with the 939 series they talked about the wedge getting stuck because of non service or maybe your front quick air dump is not dumping when the brake peddle is released. Also they talked about the front glad hand vent being closed off but in your case one would think that is not the...
Rusty the air switch on the Deuces dumps excess air and the safety type air switch for the drop axles dumps excess air when off. You better get us some pic on the Fording when you do it.
I like to keep things simple so I would not have gone electric selenoids just an air switch that dumps when air is not needed. Same with the clutch plug just put a ball valve there and close it before you ford and open when done fording. Thought you were to loose the fan belt before fording and...
OK your pin is in a Get Well card that was mailed. I do think you need to look into where the fuel control goes and make sure the plunger sleeve is sitting on the bottom. Also look in there and see if the pin is stuck in the sleeve.
It cost a stamp to send it so you are good plus I think some of...

I don't know Garrett who should be insulted more, me for you thinking I was Pete or Pete for you thinking it was him instead of me. Pete is the tall one I am the good looking one.
We have the Grammar Police, The Attitude Police, The TM's Police plus parts name and NSN# Police. Will let you off with just a warning this time so smoke the tires and drive it like you stole it.
As said do all your filters. Then if you look over the TM's the one that is called troubleshooting the 465 there you will find the quickest way to find engine problems. After the filter change I believe it moves on to checking fuel pressures and on down the line till the problem is found. Even...
As I posted I am thinking the crack pressure is lower than 33/38 . Most of the time the TM's are a good reference but I do not hold them as Gospel.
Edit OK checked the crack pressure with the orifice blocked off. This needle and seat has no rubber and really is cheap but it does the job. The...
Are you sure the fuel control is very easy to move when you had the shut down cover off? Also does it snap right back from the 4 o clock to the 7 o clock position when the motor is shut down?
Yes and no Garrett any info only arms us and there are plenty of BS treads in other forms. More people flock to a thread that a woman starts that one with good info in it. Woof Woof
