Backhoe/ skid steer OR when in a bind . Call a wrecker (flat bed ) guy charged me $75 To transfer it to the bed of truck . When offloading , I throw some pipe under and push it off the bed of the truck down a harbor freight ramp. slides fast as hell, but Never failed. For around the shop they...
definitely a bit pricey - but im finding it to be pretty user friendly with all the built in maintenance reminders, good luck on the 80xa search . @Mattguy has some good looking runners for low prices .
The Stanadyne came from
- M&D Distributors (USA) $244 delivered
-merlin Diesel (UK) $272 per delivered super fast shipping
-The HQ was the most expensive $340
I’m going to try what @Ray70 recommended on the two stiff ones .
the pumps definitely move more freely with a bit of compression ...
OEM, I ordered a total of (3) “new” injector pumps
all from different vendors.
The top injector (brown box) came with the bottom piece unattached. This is the unit that moves freely. The lever rotates with a flick of a finger .
The second and third (white boxes) are from two other different...
I’m curious about the stiffness of the lever towards the bottom of the injector. I ordered three sets of “new” injectors . Each from different vendors. Only 1 out of three units came with a lever that can be moved with little to almost no force (almost moveable by flipping the injector side to...

Or could the fuel block be somewhere else in the system?
Thank...

Update : I soaked the pumps for a few days in Gunk, no luck.
The levers on the pumps are stiff, and don’t seem to be loosening up at all
I see on @CallMeColt video how loose they normally are. Mine are no where near that loose.
Any suggestions where to buy replacements?
Or other methods of...
I can manually move the lever 180 degrees - although it's a bit stiff.
The Rack moves freely with the pumps out .
Only thing I can think of is, going back to verify the pumps were installed correctly - as @ callmecolt stated in his reference video .
Okay got it (y) thank you.
Both pumps are now removed - neither was “compressed“ . The rack is moving freely, when I manually rotate the lever - the end of the rack follows suit.
Can someone help identify the levers “pins“ I have not inspected that part yet.
The longer (39 second video) was taken immediately after removing the plug on the governor body. The fuel rack was stuck in position while manually rotating the lever.
The shorter (16 second video) was taken after I nudged the fuel rack. The gen did start - then shut off after a few seconds...
