I am looking at a bobbed deuce or 5 ton for use here in Utah. We live at 7500 ft and have lots of snow and ice to drive on from November through April. So I am interested in recommendations for tires (oversized tires of I get a deuce) which will do well in snow and ice on a regular basis. Of...
Which truck would make a better bobbed rig, assuming moderate off road driving plus 60 mph highway driving? We live at 7500 ft. elevation, so there would be a lot of up and down canyon driving in the snow. Thanks.

I am looking at getting a deuce or a 5 ton, and would like any feedback you can offer on the most trouble free engine - multifuel, CAT or Cummins or other? Are any engines problematic and should be avoided? Thanks!!
Does anyone make lockout hubs for 5 tons? If the answer is no, that might be the deciding factor in convincing me to plan for a deuce rather than a 5 ton.
I am curious what kind of change in fuel mileage you guys have seen with with 14.5-20 tires or 395s installed.

Thanks!
Hi All, looks like a great forum here.
In the next couple of years I hope to get a bobbed deuce, bobbed 5 ton, or M818 with on set of wheels gone and a bed installed. Super singles of course!
