I had the same problem Sturmtyger.
I spooked the piston in a cap full of gas.
Then took the spring under it off. Put it on today and the truck ran great.
Try it and see if it works for you.
I got the kit off ebay. Everything fits good except the piston.
My only problem is I cant reuse the original piston, the cup was dry rotted and missing a chunk out of it.
The only reason I ordered the kit was to get a new piston.
Thanks for the feed back guys
Just a quick question if anyone has any experience doing a rebuild on one of these carbs.
Bought a kit for it. It is the correct one, to answer that question.
When installing the Booster piston. Is there anything special or any trick to help it fit in the booster port.
Any way to prepare the...
My m211 was a fire department brush truck.
It was missing the E-brake when I got it.
I will be doing a rebuild after I replace the wiring harness.
Will be having my new drum magnifluxed when I get one.
I looked at a T55 and M60 Patton side by side. It looks like the tracks from the M60 would fit the T55. The tracks on the M88 is the same as the M60.
Also track busting is hot work. lol :grd:

Hello all, Just running this idea buy y'all to see if any one has thought of trying this. Thinking of buying a XM813 with no bed and put a M246 tractor/wrecker bed on it for yard use and lifting of heavy parts. Just looking for opinions. I will be for privet use.
Also looking to use this to...
More tinkering is required with a device like this. Remember it was a struggle to move from steam to gas and diesel. It may be old tech but old tech with a fresh look can go a long way. Plus I have detonated one of my prototypes whilst tinkering with it. With no risk comes no reward. Just my 2cents.
With the age of the trucks the city should be able to wright you a salvage title. All the military trucks that I have bought from privet owners have provided hand written bill of sale. Here in GA any vehicle over 20 years old do not require title just bill of sale. I would call the tag office...
I always use the GSA number on my M35A2, the insurance company called me back to tell me my jeep Vin was to long. The girl had a fit when I told her the GSA was the ID number. the reason I use the GSA is that is the number we put down for the Gov fuel card at my NG unit for the state. The girl...
