Took my inspection plate off rear end after hearing an intermitant noise. Got steadily louder over the past few months. It does not look good. One of the main pieces has a hole worn through it! I'm not a rear end guy but I believe it is a 10 blot 3:08 with Eaton Locker. I've heard of people...
I have a 1985 1009. I have a 2.25" lift. For a while now I get an intermittent rattle that I have been told by two riders seems to be coming from the drive line, or rear end. ?
I'm looking at a 923. It starts with jump but dies when cable is unhooked. The voltage meter, in the dash, shows it is charging. Would completley dead batteries do this? I always thought the batteries just started the motor then the alternater took over.? Any ideas?
I'm in central Mo. Thinking of attending the NC rally in April. Anyone else from around here going? Or any one driving through? Thought a caravan would be fun.
I wanted to say thanks for all the great info and post on here. My 1009 was getting so it would'nt start unless it was plugged in if it got to be 40 degrees or less, a real pain. After researching all the info here I realized that all the cyling I was hearing before starting was really suppose...
I have noticed an intense roar from my intake while hwy driving. Seems like at low RPMs in town it is quiet. I am sure this is normal but I was wondering if anyone else has found a remedy?:cookoo: Maybe a snorkel?
Looking to purchase a M923. It is non turbo, are they all? I have a CUCV right now, but thinking of adding to fleet. What would be a average price? This one has about 70XXX.
I want to switch to a spin on filter for my 1009. 6.2L Mine is doing the typical leaking. Where can I buy one? The part stores around here are not any help.
