GL email
Has anyone else got an email from GL about them not being able to sell certain vehicles anymore? Not trying to jump to comclusions, but I think we might be coming to an end of buying our green surplus with wheels- I was watching several truck listings on there yesterday and today they...
Hey guys,
We just bought a 1984 M936 with the cummins NHC250 motor and on the drive home it seemed like it didn't have much of any power. Now I know that it is a non-turbocharger engine but on a few hills the speed would drop off to 10 mph. During the climb, it didn't produce any black smoke...
Hey guys, I just got done with an oil change/ fuel filter change on my a3 but I can't figure out how to reprime the fuel system to refill the fuel filter and get the air out of the system. I don't see any primers anywhere and I can't hear the fuel pump when the key is in the on position. Any ideas?
Hey, quick question:
I am going to town later today to pick up some more fittings to fix the fittings on the other three hoses pictured above and was wondering if I should get the exact same kind of push to connect fitting like I used earlier (that seem prone to leak) or should I try and use a...
Yes it is an m35a3. I went to my local ace hardware today and they had a brass replacement that worked perfectly! Now I have to go back to the store and buy about 4 more because I found several other hoses that leaked at that same type of connection. the replacement is just a brass push to...
Well today I was fixing any leaks that I found on the truck and at first I found a leak where the plastic threaded fitting of horn hose screws into the brass connection so I added some thread sealant and that stopped that leak but then it started to leak between where the black hose connects to...
Does anyone know the exact cooling system capacity of 1989 P&H HSHMC 25ton crane? I am wanting to flush the coolant before it gets too cold and I need to know how much coolant concentrate to add to get a 50/50 mixture. Thanks
I replaced the priority valve today and it's obvious that the seal in the old valve is destroyed. I will test drive it this week and take pics of the old valve and see if the problem is fixed.
I have checked the entire system for leaks and the only one that I have found is the priority valve and I am going to replace that on monday or tuesday. I am not sure that it needs rebuilding its just that my air buzzer always turns one when I turn the wheel and it doesn't turn nice and smoothly...
Ok, that seems like a good place to start. As long as it's OK to use the JD stuff, I will have no problem finding coolant here. We have a whole bunch of that stuff on hand that we use in our tractors. Thanks for your help!
I heard the fan come on about the same time that the temp hit 200. The coolant is kind of a rusty brown in color. I am thinking that I might have to do a flush with some restore and try to clean out the cooling system eventually. What is the correct coolant? When I let it idle to cool down the...
Are you planning on putting anything on the o-ring before you put it in? I would highly suggest putting something called sil-glyde on the o-ring to help it seal and prevent and small leaks around the o-ring. You can find it at napa.
Running Hot??
Today I took the a3 out for a 5 mile drive around the block at about 30mph and by the time I got home again the water temp was at 200* F and for it only being 75* outside that seems to be running a little hotter than it should. I can see coolant in the sightglass so the coolant...
I need new batteries also. I am still using the same ones that came in it when I got it in 2011 and recently the batteries would not hold a charge so I cleaned them up and removed any corrosion, charged them each separately and put them back in the truck and sure enough it still wouldn't crank...
