M55A2, need info on this model.

After talking to one of the fine members here it looks like a M809 series cargo will be the way to go for what I want since it comes with the better 250 Cummins engine with a standard trans. Thanks for all the replies folks. Great site!

M55A2, need info on this model.

Looking at a long bed manual trans but wondering if a 923 would be a better truck or if the 55 is just an earlier version of it. The site says it is a bigger M35 and that suits me fine. Also wondering how much its weighs

M55A2, need info on this model.

I did a search but nothing about years and specs. Can you tell me what era is this truck from, what does the long bed version weigh, double frame? Any other tidbits you M55 folks can share. 923 vs M55...which would you buy? TIA

Have read some threads where the tachs and odometers have low hours and miles on older trucks and the trucks are in good shape. Is there a way to determine if and older truck was gone through and was there some scheduled rebuild cycle?

    Ballpark price range

Looked at the M900 and M915....too big...too much truck and cost too much to license since I'm not looking to license as a antique or whatever.

    Ballpark price range

Thanks for the replies. This is good info so I know what to expect when bidding on one of the few left. I don't care for the M35A3's since it has the auto and they are pricey to repair. I'll look and see what an M915 is.

    Ballpark price range

Hi folks, I'm looking to get one of these fine machines for my farm because I'm tired of the gas truck I have never wanting to start when it sits for very long due to the carb going dry. Finding a parts pipeline unit to convert a regular one in the future is the goal but as I have found out...
