I have converted the engine back to 24 volts. I change the oil pump and distributor. There is a new coil installed, new points and new condenser.
As I turn the engine over by hand there is power on the right-hand side of the points when the points are separated. There is no power...
Working on repairing the rust I found the front crossmember end to be totally rusted way. Sorry I do not have a good photo to show the damage. Anybody have a parts vehicle with one of the cross member with a good end? I really do not desire to fabricate a new part. Thanks, Todd
I have searched this site, watched ebay, completed a Bing Search, stopped at my local truck store, but nothing . . .
I have two rotating Federal Lights (MS51317-3) with broken lens. Anybody know where to purchase them??
I know, I should have come to SS and ask, but I thought I would be able...
It's time to put the top on the Duece. However several of the top bows are broken beyond repair (got it that way). Is there a good way to bend the wood to match the bend of the other pieces?
Thanks for any help.
The process of bringing my 1952 M43 Ambulance back to life has begun. I towed her home this past summer after my sister-in-law found her on a ‘Sunday afternoon drive’. Got the barn ready and moved her in there a few weeks ago.
My first project was to convert an engine back to 24volts and...
Searching to learn some history on my M43 - sanding the hood, bumpers, etc - I have found a few numbers. What I have found:
Left side rear - Top row 28 - Bottom row 3-109? Not sure what the last number might be.
Right side rear - really nothing.
Photo (of course) attached. Any ideas where...
I re-read the rules and I think I am safe to ask this question -
Where have member purchased tires for their trucks? Any place to avoid?
My M43 is going to need all four replaced. Plus I need a rim and tire for the spare.

I've searched but have not located anything on mouthing a rotating flasher on my truck. I have two that I would like to mount. Each are mounted to a round base with the triangle plate below it with a screw threading. So, pole down to truck, now thoughts, ideas and photos how to mount to...
I started with the light stuff – Bactrim DS. Moved onto Cefazolin and Ampicllin. No good. I attempted Nitrofurantoin. Nope. Moved to the Big Dogs – Gentamicin and Levofloxacin. **** I even tried Amikacin. Sorry to say there is no cure. I’m infected and my third MV is coming home...
Gunnery Sgt Price will be laid to rest in Holland Michigan on Saturday Aug 11. As you may have heard 'that baptist church' is stating they will be there. For those close to Holland it would be great to have a large fleet of MV on the route.
I will be at W.40th and S. Washington. Please...
So has anybody found a good way to remove the numbers that GL paints on the side, hood, bumper, etc of their vehicles?
I'm not planning on striping her down and repainting this year, so . . . other options?
I am restoring a 1952 M37 with my son. We decided to do a frame-off restoration, which will take longer than we first thought. So my son says - Dad I'm a senior and I really wanted a military truck to drive for my senior year - can we get another one?? I want a "big one". I stated if we could...
