If you have rust along the bottom of the walls there is a good chance that the water intrusion came in along the seams on the roof. Take a ladder and climb on up and look for seams that are either open or areas rusted through. There are a couple of other 109 builds that have some good detail...
I am swinging by POPACOM's place in early February and then out to Colorado and then back to Tampa. Depending upon how big and heavy your gear is I may be able to help out.
I was looking the a detailed road atlas that I have for Florida and it looks like it may have a better map of the trails in Richloam then the one I have from the rally last year. I will see if I can scan it and send as it is fairly large and in color.
I am going to be in Colorado for a month from mid February to mid March and am driving there and back. Depending upon your date I can provide some help and a chase car along the way or at least some of the tools that you need for a drive. I have driven one to Tampa from San Antonio and it is a...
I have a set of the low profile ones that came off of the crown victoria I bought from the local PD. If we can figure a way to transport back and forth we can trade them out. I am in Tampa, FL. The lights are yellow, red and clear.
I think that Indiana cleared out most of their National Guard/Reserve deuces a few years back. My 109 came out of Indianapolis in 2008 and at the time they had batches of them every month or so. Since you seem to have the space to store and experience with big trucks it probably is a matter of...
I recently had an issue where my battery shorted when I went to start my 109. The positive battery terminal actual melted down just a bit and melted through the top of the battery. I found out that the issue was that where the positive battery cable went through the frame at the back of the...
Kenny,
Work and family have me very busy. Got a few things sorted out and settled down and looking forward to some rally time before going to Colorado for a month. Heading down to the Glades around Christmas to visit the wife's family. Will PM you and maybe can get by and say hello.
Vinny,
I was able to move the trip to Colorado to the end of February through mid March. This means that I am able to make the rally and can bring the MKT if desired. Let me know as it is now set up with two griddles that we can cook steak on like the '10 Georgia Rally. Pop me an invoice for...
Vinny,
I am scheduled to be in Colorado that weekend. Am supposed to be there Jan 14 to Feb 12. I am sure we can arrange to get the MKT to you before I head out West.
Ear plugs, ear muffs, balls of wax, anything to cut the sound. On a serious note, take a look at some of the threads that give a good list of supplies and things to check. Reach out to some of the folks who are along the route to see if they are willing to provide assistance if needed. I...
Very nice, I like the idea of an extended cab. It looks like a bit easier fabrication job then a full blown four door and gives some needed extra room.
The S250 is great in a 105 trailer as many of our members know. The HMMWV shelter does not fit in the box on a 105. Either just the frame or a generator trailer may work. Be very cautious about how far forward it goes. When you turn and try to go uphill they can bite the back of your deuce...
After backing up 105 trailers behind the shop van with no ability to see them. I broke down and installed a pintle hitch on the front bumper of my truck. It makes getting the MKT in and out of the shop a whole lot easier and much safer in my opinion when working with out a ground guide.
