I'm out, truck starting get too hot on the way down. Had to limp back home. New radiator too as my last one started leaking just before the spring rally.
I plan of making it. Need to get a few things done on the truck first, I always like to wait til last minute. I'll be meeting up with Mikey and he heading down 81 Friday afternoon.
It is nice be able to haul 10x's as much as my pickup with deuce barely breaking a sweat. We have had a really mild fall so far this year. Hopefully it doesn't come back to bite us in the ass. As the last 2 winters have been rough
See if you have alternator shop close by than can rebuild it for cheap. If it's not the regulator I would convert over to a single wire 24v alternator. Much cheaper than nos original alternator amd easier to come by. You'll have to make a bracket or TM America use to sell them.
Plethora, I would of been more than happy to air up your tires had I known. The camping spots were packing since there was a 4 wheel to heel event going on. Good thing we had a small group there wasn't many spots left to park. I had a great time and can't wait for the spring trip
Got everything together last minute. I've loaded up a bunch of firewood but it's now down pouring on it. I plan on meeting up with Mikey tomorrow afternoon and then heading down together.
gringeltaube did a comparison test on various bolts for sheer strength. Low grade brass bolts were very close to the same sheer strength as the stock pins. I have had luck with using some I tested. Here is the thread with comparison...
