Official 2015 Ga. Rally buy/sell/trade thread

I realize the litter carrier is spoken for. Do you know the weight capacity of it? The NSN number would be helpful also. Thanks

M373A2 SA trailer, van; Chanbersburg Pa. to Stormville NY approx. 300 miles.

Looking to hire a tractor that can retrieve an M373A2 SA Semi-Trailer from Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg Pa. It's a 300 mile trip one way to Stormville NY. Would be nice if someone could coordinate a return load, so they wouldn't have to "bobtail" back to Pa. Please PM me if you can...

    proposal of "transportation for hire"

Thanks for the reply, and future consideration. just trying to simplify a stressful & fustrational search for some help when you're a newbie.

    proposal of "transportation for hire"

Proposal for "transportation for hire." I’m not suggesting replacing the "transportation needs" forum. I’ve used it the past, but I believe it has some shortcomings that need to be addressed. For one thing, the forum has no listing of available current shippers and or feedback relating to their...

Priming a dry Cummins PT IP

That's great, once I get it fixed, it will continue to work for years. Can't beat that. Thanks for your support, Craig

Priming a dry Cummins PT IP

Working on that, first I have to get the diesel fuel caps to seal. As is, the tanks will not hold (sustain) any pressure...immediately leaks out with small diesel droplets forced out around the cap seals. Tank is fairly full, not much space for air. Thanks for the advise, Craig

Priming a dry Cummins PT IP

Working on that. Nothing conclusive yet, except that the filler (tank) cap seals are past their prime. Got some sheet rubber to make up new non vented ones. Thanks for your reply, Craig

Priming a dry Cummins PT IP

Working on getting "C" loosened. The manual override was turned in fully CW to bypass the fuel shutoff solenoid. Electrical signal is there when in "RUN" position, but couldn't tell if it was actuating open, so I put the knurled bypass into its present position and went on. There is no apparent...

Priming a dry Cummins PT IP

Excellent diagnostic!! This will point me in the right direction. After a while of troubleshooting, most people including myself, become overwhelmed, and this is when you loose sight of the simpler techniques.... I'm working all around (the problem), and can't converge on the culprit....but I...

Priming a dry Cummins PT IP

Checked and replaced....problem still exsists....even though the concave square washer was not perfectly aligned with its respective mating recess.

Priming a dry Cummins PT IP

I've checked all of the above except item "C". Tried to loosen it with the biggest screwdriver I have, but wouldn't even budge. I think I will have to get an identical thickness of steel bar (same as slot clearance) and an adjustable or vise grips to apply torque to it. I'm beginning to think...

Priming a dry Cummins PT IP

I'm suspecting it is the tank transfer switch, since the hoses to & from look newer. Will bypass one tank supply & return when it stops raining here in NY. BTW, I did research this topic, and a few posts referenced what I needed to know, except there were no pictures, and everyone unfortunately...

Priming a dry Cummins PT IP

I've been troubleshooting a loss of prime in my M818 after sitting a day or so. I can get it started with excessive cranking and a shot of ether, but I'd rather save the starter/batteries & engine undue stress. From searching this forum, I've seen reference to manually priming the fuel...

    My 1st M818

Thanks for your input. I've seen several good posts in regards to Kevin at Ft. Drum. I definately would help him out if asked....after all i'm on his turf, & everyone knows that "what goes around comes around." Thanks

    My 1st M818

Point well taken. I'm aware that a sharp jolt to a chain can cause it to snap, go flying and possibly take off someones head. It's risky even if both parties understand the consequences. I would never consider using a chain to tow a vehicle for any distance. The person that made the suggestion...

M818 recovery (important note for all newbies!!)

Sounds like a totally unexpected scary situation!! Luckily you weren't in heavy traffic and had a place to pull over safely. I'm a newbie, so this could have happened to me.....now it won't!! Thanks to your input. Nice looking tractor by the way. I'm hoping to retreive my M818 within a week or...

    My 1st M818

I agree with you, I wouldn't wait till the last day. It was just a scenario. I had never heard of GL even offering an extension (within the SS forumns) or if it were possible. I have allready contacted a couple of shippers, waiting for some quotes. Thanks, Craig

    My 1st M818

"Just know my truck came out of there and it runs strong". Hopefully this is an indication that they (Ft. Drum) PMCS their trucks, and it will start with fresh batteries. Thanks, Craig
