I'm sure I'm not the only one here who has ever had their steering wheel start falling apart. I'm guessing the LA heat has made the outer covering brittle and now pieces of it are falling off. Has anyone done a repair to their steering wheel as opposed to paying $150+ for a new one? I'm sure...
I live where all the flooding is going on. Now that I know my family is secure I'm ready to get out and do what I can. I've read the procedure for getting a 5 ton ready for high water but it's been a while. Could those with knowledge please give me the quick breakdown on what I need to do?
Thanks!
Recently I tried to start up my M931 to let her run a little bit as it had been a while since I last started her up. When I tried to start the engine I noticed a little smoke coming from around the dash... then it started getting worse. I grabbed the extinguisher out of my other truck and...
I haven't had a chance to mess with this 931 for a while but I'm going to give it another shot. Here's the problem I'm having:
When I first start it up everything is fine. If I leave it in neutral the RPM stay steady. Now if I put her in gear at all and then drop it back into neutral the RPM...
I've been having some issues with starting my 5 ton lately. I'll try to explain as best I can.
- If the truck has been sitting for a while (several hours or more) it will start right up.
- If I shut her down and try to restart anytime within the next few hours it takes several attempts before...
I'm looking for someone to haul an M931 from Hattiesburg, MS to Holden, LA (near Hammond) - about 140 miles.
Anybody out there looking to make some $$$ let me know.
Made the trip last week with my father-in-law to pick up 2 more trucks. I drove the M931 home and only had one minor hiccup. About 1/4 of the way into the trip, the driver's side wiper blade fell off (of course it was raining).
I really like the way the 931 drives compared to the 923. Much...
I'm looking at a small lot that begins next week. The item is located in Peoria, IL and would need to be shipped freight to LA (weighs 90 lbs).
Before I get too far ahead of myself I was looking to see if any members that live nearby would be able to do a pick up for me.
Of course I would be...
Looking for input on correct placement of disconnects and inverters in a 24v system. If I want to install a keyed battery disconnect and a 24v-12v inverter is this the correct order?
Disconnect between batteries and starter and inverter on 24v leg out to the battery switch?
For the inverter...
Won 3 lots that all have the same sales event number. Do I need a separate EUC for each lot or will the 1 EUC cover them all?
The only thing they ask for is the sales event number on the fax cover sheet.
I've read through all the fine print on the form and don't see any mention of it on the GL...
We went and picked up 2 M923A2s today (I got one and my f-i-l got one). My dad drove my f-i-l's because he's been feeling ill lately and I drove mine. My f-i-l followed us in his pickup.
140 miles and the only major issue was the pain in my rear end. If you've never had the luxury of driving on...
Louisiana - Veteran's Day Parade in Walker (NOV 9TH)
I see there are quite a few guys from LA here. I'm part of the Livingston Parish Veteran's Association and every year we put on a Veteran's Day parade in Walker. I did a search of the forum and see that some of you guys participated last...
Could someone please tell me the name of the piece that goes here. That hole is going to bug the **** out of me until it goes away.
Also, any ideas of where I could find said part would be greatly appreciated.
I went to look at some M923A2's today at a government auction. I was talking with the guy at the lot and he told me to check out this site. Well I ended up winning my auction (I'm pumped!) and now I'm here for more info. It looks like I'll have a lot of reading to do.
