12v conversion - can any "points of failure" be removed?

I guess this just comes to individual taste, for simplicity 12v is fine, for a little more umph I'd wire up my own 24v with all new large gauge wires [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Throttle Cable Again [emoji31]

This is essentially doing the same thing and removing the crimp from the cable, but faster, easier and better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Throttle Cable Again [emoji31]

I went ahead and got another #Y270 throttle cable from my local Advanced Auto Parts. This time I did not bother removing the crimp. I just simply used some pliers to slide the plastic firewall connection off the cable sleeve till it was out of the way. I then cut the rubber off with a utility...

    Throttle Cable Again [emoji31]

Hi guys, I'm have the same trouble everyone else seems to have with these darn things. It's impossible to grind the crimp off the Y270 cable without causing slight damage to the cable it's self. This time i've gone through 2 in a week, my 3rd cable install over all. Anyone know if there is a...

    New shock recommendations

So it's looking like the KYB gas a just is a great buy mono tube for about $30 a piece. Im ordering 2 rears for now. Anyone have any opinions on placing rear shock up front? I've read it on here somewhere before. I just want to make sure they want bottom out to soon on compression and break...

    New shock recommendations

Hey all, I'm in definite need of all 4 shocks. I still have the stockers, and they're useless. In my search results I see monoes come up a lot, and are a cheaper alternative to bilsteins.? And what's this about putting rear shocks up front? Sounds interesting

Restore sagging front springs with Add A Leaf Springs

I wouldn't do the whole shackle flip thing if you plan to use your truck for work purposes/hauling and towing to much. More for off road. With that being said the rear springs on these trucks are stiff. I count 11 in my packs. I can't wait to replace my rear packs also, something with less...

Restore sagging front springs with Add A Leaf Springs

Thanks buddy. Not hard at all, removing 30 years bolts was tough as expected. I also replaced the 3 U-bolts, passenger side bolts, spring plates and installed a sway bar quick release/2" relocation kit. It is definitely taller. I do not care for the the body lift, but it was necessary. Sent...

    Rear spring center pin removal

Right, that's what I was thinking. I always got my 4x4 stuff from ord, so I'll probably go greasable all the way around

    Rear spring center pin removal

I think that's what I ended up cutting off, witch I didn't want to. I liked it, it held the entire spring pack. I called it a day, and will probably end up removing the spring pack from the truck, and will probably destroy the bushings in the process
