I had an unexpected double score today.:-D I started out nice and early in my '71 to fetch my new MKT-90. Made good time up, no problems. Got a pass at the main gate(JBLM) and then promptly was turned around so that I could take part in a very fun commercial inspection.aua Thats the first time anyone ever looked up the skirt of my M35A2. They even used mirrors.

Made it to GL and Tony had me all hooked up and ready to go in no time flat. Now came the fun part. How do I tow this hulk without shredding any more canvas. Idea! Use Josh's new deuce cargo cover as a tarp to cover the whole thing and wrap it up tight. A little strugle but no big deal. I owe you big time Josh!

Here is the MKT. Also a few pics of all the trailers on the GL lot.

Soooo its 50 mi up and 50 mi back and I'm 20 yards from my driveway when I see a new text from my wife that reads "customer notified". Wow my M109A3 from sale 5203 is now ready to come home. But I'm not ready. No insturment cluster to speak of, and i really don't want to rob Peter to pay Paul. Hmmm The heck with it. I want to go get the old girl. I started her earlier in the day and even moved her a few feet back and forth to check the drivetrain. Checked the oil as well.

I found a solution to my "how to get back up there problem" next door at my unsuspecting neighbors house. I say, "Hey, ever been on an Army base. No? Wanna go?"

Away we go in my pick-up with very limited recovery items on short notice. Get through the gate, no problems this time, and get to GL with time to spare. It's about 1400.

Dumped 5 gal of clean diesel in the tank, signed the paperwork and away we go. First stop is a 76 station for lots of diesel and a bottle of injector cleaner. She really ran good from the get-go. The whistler sounded good, she had tons of power, and was smooth through all the gears. It has a brand new radiator. Service was just done on all axles. New belts all around. New hoses. etc etc etc. A real cream puff in an ugly suit. She needs a good wash and a little paint.

Also had the good fortune of running into ABN173(Dale) on the GL lot. He was checking out some lots and I ended up giving him a quick ride back towards his car. Good to see you Dale!

Woot. I did something good with out even knowing it. Man, my cover looks faded compared to yours. Dunt bother me a bit though. Nice 109, I need to get some acreage so my MV crop can start growing.
