Oh wise one I come seeking knowledge about 2 more homeless deuces. They were found at Camp Dodge in Iowa, at the GL orphanage. Both trucks were IANG vehicles. Both were purchased in 3/09. Both now have a new home in Maryland. Both are whislers and one is a drop side that was singled out with brand new radials and was rebuilt in 85..

Prior to this it was with the 3670 Ordnance Company (General Support Maint) out of Clackamas, OR.

Just googling the 163rd and it appears they are under the 218th or were reflagged the 218th but didn't really take the time to research it. There is somekind of relationship there between the two unit designations.

My friend, you are coming up with a VIN to Registration Number mismatch. The VIN is short 1 digit. The VIN is incorrect for the Registration number also.

Highly suggest you get the VIN from the frame only at the left front wheel well. We'll run the numbers again once you do that.

I have located additional information on my AM General M35A2. The tags on the rear tandems has 1436004 WY on it as well as 12482. Is 12482 the year? December 4, 1982. The motor is a White with a year of 82 on the tag. I have also found two aluminum tags on two airlines under the dash that have the year 82 on them. I am trying to determine the year of my duece. Inside the glove box is a sticker that reads rustproofed in 1982. I am not sure if this is a 1982 or it was rebuilt in 1982 and is in fact an older duece. Here is other information on the truck.

This appears to be a truck made for the AF/Air National Guard and then transferred to the Army Guard. It happens since the Air and Army Guard us the same USPFO. No info on date of mfg or the registration number. Suspect the date of mfg was 1982 based on the AF registration number and the contract number. That is only a educated guess.

My guess is year 1970, manufactuer 65909 (please confirm). I would like to know the registration number, contract number, and correct NSN.

Data plate is blank and has the wrong NSN (recent transplant) so I won't list it here (I can type the NSN in and it's not correct).

Nothing is coming up specific to those numbers. Neither number looks like a deuce number.

You will need to check the frame rail and find the number there. Plenty of previous posts on here where to find that if you don't know.
