Oh great Carnac, please help. I am looking for the VIN's for 2 M871 trailers and DMV is squawking about me using the Veh Reg numbers because they claim I am supposed to have a 17 digit VIN for each. Here is the info I have off the data plates:

Gov Liq claims the 1st trailer is 1988, and they claim the 2nd trailer is a 1994, however, I don't trust that info based on the inspection dates stamped on the data plates.

What I need is the 17 digit VIN which DMV is insisting exists - they will not allow me to use the Veh Reg numbers for tile and registering in the state of Hawaii.

I just got a M35A3 wo/w to bob and 4 door for the new family truck.. wife cant wait.. haveing probalems with insurance cause is not 17 digit vin on the title so it got me wondering what the truck really was years wise so i came to you..

a. Serial Number.. I have 2.. title says 501350 and so does frame rail at the rear hanger of the front leaf spring and also the dash tag.. frame rail at the steering box says 054010287 and this is the only place i see this number

b. Registration Number ????

c. NSN without dashes 2320013832047

d. off the guy that bought it on GL but i dont know where the GL was..

e. Bumper numbers is 35C and looks like it was just painted on there over another number

also see WP4NSO on top and D0040 under it on the drivers door and passenger side hood side panle thats been painted over. i also have a MWO APPILED 12-21-05 tag and this is the only year on the truck anywhere but title says 1993 and i dont know where he got that from..

Looking to get info on a M105 trailer. It has a data plate as M105a2 but I suspect it has been changed/ refurb and the trailer is older. Found bumper numbers on both front fenders.

There is no 17 digit VIN. They're former government vehicles. They aren't required to have 17 digit VIN's.
