I had a good time at the show. Really enjoyed the people and had a great time at the East Coast Convoy dinner. Would be nice to have "on line" name tags at the dinner. Had a very good response to the M 151 body panels (much better than Sussex) and passed out a lot of business cards - will attend next year.

The opinion sheet was done by a club member without clubs permisson,he is only trying to help. Many of.the members that vote on where the show will be have never been to the show.here is Anja Taylor club email adress ,she handles the show abtaylor3@yahoo.com ,I have been saying this for years. but each time i get told to stop as i am causing folks to stay home. I have been a club member since 1991 have been treaser (10n years) VP TWICE board member as has Tim Clark who put out the opinion sheet. We are both venders for 20 years. we may start a new club and a diff show. Just my throughts. 72 year old collector.

Show was OK. (Not great, not good, but OK) Lots of empty holes in the rows of vendors. The show needs to attract more vendors like the "Aberdeens of several years ago" Not much public there. The portapotties desperately needed to be pumped out by Friday afternoon. Food was good and well priced. Weather was decent.

I had to leave on Friday night due to a family event that if I missed my family would of disowned me, or else I would of stayed.

Bottom line, I will go back next year to see old friends and meet new ones, but something needs to be done to stop the bleeding of vendors from the show.
I agree. This was my first year going, and to be honest...I wasn't very impressed. Lots of open spaces. Didn't like getting haggled to donate money to restorations either. I have my own restoration going on, and you don't see me out there panhandling at the show. Had I known what it was like, I probably wouldn't have bothered driving 150 miles each way(plus MD and DE with the tolls...$20 in those alone). I've been to tons of car shows and swap meets and I'd have to say I was pretty disappointed at the size of the show(small...), after being told that it was one of the larger shows in the U.S. I was expecting to see a lot more trucks. Other then vendors(and GL) it seemed like only about 5 people brought trucks to the "show". I even walked around the back side of the stadium to see if there was a section I missed

The portapottys definitely should have been pumped Friday morning...by the afternoon they were pretty well full and filthy. The hand washing station was pretty much out of water(I found this out AFTER I had soap all over my hands)..Had to use my bottle of water to rinse my hands off.

Food was good.

I had 20 spots, 10 pull thru, for the MD SS members and we had 7 trucks in our spots alone, so I am skeptical. there were also over 30 trucks in the display area that were judged. the largest turnout to date. So you must of missed that as well..There was too many open spots and if the show is to survive we must do something to get more vendors. As to bogus survey forms using the clubs logo, I am blown away. This was done without the permission of the leadership, false, and very misleading. I filled mine out, thinking it was real and was very pi**ed when I went to turn it in finding out that a disgruntal long term member had done this on his own, under false pretenses. I hope everyone comes to the next club meeting to air out their grievances, along with finding out if the event made money. I would join another MV club to help do an event at another location, since I would like one more event in this area. I would not sabatoge the Blue/Gray to do it and think that misleading people with false surveys is the not the way to do it.

I was there for 4 days and no one haggled me for any money for restorations. I would laugh at them if they did...I agree with open spots and less vendors, that is fact.

Once again, had a great time at the show. It's one of the few times of the year I can get together with my friends and enjoy my hobby, sell off a few things I don't need to make a couple bucks, and relax a little more than usual. Lost 2 wheel studs on the trip (!!!), but torqued the rest down and made it back okay. Whadya want for a vehicle with 300K miles?

Steel Soldiers I met there: atankersdad, jcappeljr, powerhousedeuce, rideni, hedelta, ZiggyO, CGarbee, Scrounger, HAWKMAN, powerstroken, big1096, lancerobson, psycobob, art, emmado22, and probably a dozen or so more that I can't put real name vs. screen name to. If I forgot you in the list, I'm sorry, I get forgetful as I get older (I turn 40 next Monday).

Big thanks to atankersdad who gave me a place to crash Thursday and Friday nights, in the ass end of a M101 trailer; trust me it's a lot more comfortable than the front seat of my ride.

Also, big thanks to rideni, who was only at the show Thursday afternoon a bit, but he allowed me to store a trailer at his place in Aberdeen for a day, so I didn't have to tow it empty north to NJ when I went on a day trip, to avoid extra tolls due to the extra axle. Thanks, Ian!

I must have missed a whole section?...30 trucks? The area towards I95 cordoned off with caution tape and cones(that I think was the "display" area since they weren't selling anything) had maybe 10 trucks in it when I was there on Friday noon-afternoon. In fact, I can tell you exactly what trucks were in there... 2 Humvees- one comms/combat, one medic, one unimog, one pinzgauer, a couple dueces, and a M915 from NJ that looked like it was on a M939 chassis- desert tan with big black exhaust stack. Three deuces way off at the end that I didn't even bother walking over to because they were well away from the rest of the 7 trucks in that area. That is it.

I don't mean to be negative or disrespectful- maybe I did miss a section somewhere?
Maybe I'm just making a bad comparison...compared to our car meets it's very small. We typically had 250+ cars show up to our semi-local quarterly(roughly) meets. I helped start these meets with a couple of friends- started with ~15-20 cars...now we're at 250+...using more than one floor in the parking garage(Top of the Trop Subaru Meet- other make/model car groups have since taken after our venue)...and they have grown so large that the caravans headed to them typically get escorted by NJ State Police to Atlantic City. Have to coordinate with Atlantic City Police Department for traffic control, and Tropicana security. And we all pay...minimum $5 per car, sometimes $10-$20 for Tropicana's parking fees.
The regional meets are even larger...thousands of cars attend.
