Came across this and seems to be an interesting setup
Description:
GARWOOD / HOLAN M818 135 HYDRAULIC WINCH FROM A FORD C800. THE HYDRAULIC WINCH IS FROM THE M800 SERIES AND COMES WITH THE DRIVE PUMP. OVERALL DIMENSIONS MEASURES AT 68 1/2 INCHES LONG BY 20 3/4 INCHES TALL, BY 19 INCHES WIDE. THE DRUM LENGTH IS 17 3/4 INCHES, DRUM DIAMETER IS 8 INCHES, AND THE SPOOL WIRE MEASURES 1/2 INCH THICK.

Yep such a HEAVY geartrain, but of note is how the other guy overcame a deficiency/need with that geartrain! Probably needed the extra weight also LOL!
RustyStud was the first I remember that advocated for an electric on the front of his deuce, I sorta fell into it, as I got the HMMWV electric winch for the gin pole project...then learned that even the manufacturer stipulated in rather
LARGE and BOLD letters NOT TO BE USED FOR LIFTING! So I ended up with an electric winch that I will mount up front like the 2 of you guys!
